Tarver still wants Green

    I appreciate all the kind things fans have said about my commentating work and I’ll to try to get better at it, but as far as my boxing career is concerned I'm definitely still active,” he said. “I’ve been trying to secure a fight with Danny Green in Australia over the last few months.

    “I know that he knows that I’m a risky fight. I’m sure his team would rather he continue fighting the Manny Siacas of the boxing world or local guys like Paul Briggs, but Al Haymon (Tarver’s manager) says we’re getting close to making a deal. I think Green wants another soft touch before our fight so I'm looking for a stay-busy fight somewhere near mid-to-late August and then maybe I’ll face Green in November.”

    I'd favour that fight way more than the cameron/green thing..

    Its great news...I would love to see Green v Tarver....I dont mind waiting for 4 or 5 months :good

    I think Green is a red hot favourite to win this fight :bbb

    Tarver was so good 2005 but at 41 years old now is the right time for Green to strike.

    Agreed.

    There's was so much speculation about Green's next fight after Roy that I've fogotten by now. But didn't the story go that team Green pursued Tarver and couldn't get the deal done?

    Love to see Green samsh him, never been a fan of Tarver. The longer they leave it the more chance Danny will win too.

    Yep, if Tarver comes into this fight in good shape he'll outbox Danny but won't get the decision if held in Australia.
