A lot of people were shocked by Tarver's turn-back-the-clock performance against Green. But how would Tarver do against yet another Jones conqueror - Lebedev?

Easy UD for Tarver, Lebedev is very raw and even a partially decomposed RJJ was outboxing him for periods in their fight.

I think Roy was a tougher fight stylistically for Lebedev. Tarver is obviously a lot more skilled than Leb and less shot than Roy, but I can see Leb landing that big right hand on the old southpaw and dominate him down the stretch.

Definitly a wide UD for Tarver way too much skill for Lebedev

No, Lebedev will stop Tarver, there is noway Tarvers win over Green will convince me that he can beat Lebedev.
Lebedev is very good fighter, and a bit underrated in my opinion

Today's version of Tarver can UD Lebedev, who has looked a little disappointing in his last two fights.

hmmm.... this fight could actually be intriguing, lebedev is young & strong and very powerful. Tarver is slick, skilled and experienced... to be honest i would actually like to see this.

However someone above pointed out an EXPIRED Roy Jones Jr gave lebedev some problems, so i give Tarver a good chance depending on the strategy he uses on the night (box him) .

Honestly...as much as I like Lebedev there is IMO a good chance he gets outboxed here based on the sum impression left by Lebedev-Huck, Lebedev-Jones, Tarver-Aguilera and Tarver-Green. :think

It must drive Jones INSANE seeing the success Hopkins and Tarver are having in their 40s while he's getting brutally blasted to the canvas. I just hope Tarver's recent performance doesn't "inspire" Jones to do something stupid once again.

    Don't forget Johnson!

OK, I guess maybe going 2-3 isn't quite "success"...but two of those losses were pretty close and the third wasn't a blowout (and all were against top names in their divisions...)

:think This isn't going as well as planned. My point is that he is still fighting at a pretty high level like Hopkins and Tarver (and unlike Jones).

your points are well taken. I guess I just don't consider Johnson a bonafide Jones "nemesis" the way I do Hopkins and Tarver. But you're right.. Glen is another example of 40 being the new 30.
