Tarver wants Wlad, better than a Mormeck fight?

Ohhh...I just assumed Povetkin would get shamed into fighting Wladimir after people berate him non-stop for the inexcusably sanctioned Holyfield bout. :verysad I guess Arreola/Povetkin is shamefully as likely. Sadly, a fight I'd feel happy about if Wlad weren't there, waiting for anybody in the top ten to stand up. The champion should never want for wanting challengers in the top ten. Horrible.

Herein lies the problem with the newly are farcically created WBA HW title.
One more fraud to chase while ducking the true champs.

I wouldn't mind seeing an over hyped Yank get crushed by a Klitschko again, bring it on.
Oh and for the record, Mormeck is a far more worthy opponent than Tarver.

We got all the CW's lining up for a payday, I guess Haye opened the flood gates here. Boring, I don't want to see it, and now all the top guys want a poke at that sham WBA regular champ belt instead of the Super Champ. FFS, wretched WBA. Now Povetkin is fighting Holyfield, and Arreola wants the winner, and nobody wants anything to do with Wlad except CW's for a payday, farce!

****, I went way off the OP. Yeah, I agree that Mormeck has done more at HW than Tarver.

And people say that Tarver generates more interest/$$$$ for the fight, but that aint necessarily the case either. Mormeck would be France's first unified HWCotW EVER if he were to be triumphant.........I think this fight would sell well in Stade De France Stadium in Paris. Hell, they could probably con 100K French, Germans, and Ukrainians into buying tickets to this event, and maybe get a 7 share on French television.

No no no NO NO!!! No more blown up cruiserweights for these guys. They should fight legitimate heavyweights. Tarver is not a heavyweight. Mormeck is not a heavyweight. Hell I'd rather see Wladimir fight Alexander Dimintrenko or (gulp) Chauncey Welliver. Screw beating up on little guys.

What possibly could Wlad get out of fighting Tarver or Mormeck anyway? It's a no win situation for him. If he knocks them out spectacularly, well he's SUPPOSED to, so big deal. But if either one of Tarver or Mormeck gets lucky and lands a lucky punch and knocks Wlad out, then he instantly loses credibility.

And does anybody here really think that Tarver or Mormeck would somehow outbox Wlad over 12 rounds? I'd bet $1000 of mine to $10 of yours that Wlad outboxes them both 100times out of 100.

What is the point of fighting either one of them?

I swear to God that Michael Grant or even freaking MAURICE HARRIS would pose a bigger threat for Wladimir Klitschko than either Tarver or Mormeck would.

Tarver could generate media interest from America, maybe also have the fight in America. You coul look at it as Wlad thanking his American fans.

But...I do agree with you that the Klitschko's shouldnt be fighting any more cruiserweights. It doesnt look good.

if the guys move up, then they are HW"s.. simple as that....

now if the TRUE HW's would grow some balls and accept offers, then we wouldnt have to deal with guys who have moved up but right now, it seems the CW that have moved up have more balls then TRUE HW's

I was thinking two dates gives two tv and stadium dates which is a lot of money but if Wlad seriously wanted to do a Foreman I have no zero doubt that he'd ko both Mormeck and Tarver(though he could possibly go in survival mode and last all 12) one right after the other. Mormeck poses no threat to Wlad and Tarver a bit more than that.

Good take, but Dimi thinks he fares better vs Vitali and will likely be Vitalis summer 2013 fight.

Welliver would, gulp, fare much better than either Mormeck or Tarver, but then again, is he gonna sell tickets, generate millions of viewers, and 100s of millions of advertising dollars.
Mormeck does. Tarver probably does. Welliver vs Wlad right now, probably couldn't sell out in Kiev at this moment.

I like the Grant idea though. He called out Arreola when Wlad offered Arreola the fight back in late July, and I've heard he's trying to get it on with Adamek2 for a once last run at the title. A win over Adamek in early 2012 would likely line Grant up for a shot at Wlad, especially if Arreola gets Sasha in the spring.

Yeah they are heavyweights, I know what you mean. But putting on muscle like Haye and Adamek is not the same as being a natural big man. You know what I mean?

Right now the division is going through a strange time, there are quite a few big tall up and comers like Fury and Helenius, but they are too green to be fighting Wlad or Vitali.

If I was their manager, I wouldnt put them in with either. I dont blame them.

As for the other guys, cant really comment. Hopefully Arreola next year.

Besides the Klitschko's (a little off point, I know) there are actually quite a number of good fights that can be made if they would fight eachother.

    Chef, is Tarver possible?

Tarver is old & very past-prime, Mormeck is old & shot.

I would rather see Wlad-Tarver, but it's still a mismatch.
