Lots of action, lots of happy ending. Woods will outhustle Tarver and stop him late in the fight. Dawson will struggle early against the aggressiveness of Johnson but take over in rounds 9-12 for a clear, but competitive UD.
I'm thinking Woods UD but i will be pulling hard for Milkdud! I think Dawson by TKO due to accumulation later in the fight.
Dawson should most definitely win...... I want Clinton to win but I fancy a MD win for Tarver cos the fight is in Tampa
I personally think home territory matters greatly in any sport......I mean Woods beat Johnson in Sheffield I think it was when in reality the fight could have easily swayed the other way......you think Malignaggi beats N'gojou if the fight is in Australia??
It won't matter. It's like not Tarver is the DLH of Tampa. For crying out loud, the guy got booed in his last fight with RJJ. They were cheering loudly for RJJ. Tarver has no fans except for me and a few others.
What the hell do his fans have to do with it? Paulie Malignaggi hasn't got many fans, hell he's always whining about tough it is for him as he's not a draw, and he still got a highway ROBBERY against an unfashionable foreigner He'll have more fans than Woods since you mention it. Woods isn't popular, he won't take many over like Hatton/Calzaghe, his only fan will be his wife
Dude, Paulie has a pretty good following in Brooklyn or wherever his last fight was. They were going crazy for him. Of course the fans reaction to a fighter affects judges whether you like to admit it or not. If the fans go crazy after every punch thrown by the hometown guy, it's easier to see a "good" shot. But have the same fans boo the hometown guy (ala Tarver) , and you will be surprised how he doesn't look as good. WAR MILKDUD, WAR!
But he was fighting Roy Jones... They won't even know who Clinton Woods is. They will be rooting for Tarver, no doubt about it You got an American, his seedy promoters, in his hometown, against an unfashionable nobody and you think that it is impossible the judging could be slightly distorted? Woods needs to knock him out (which I think he will) or win in extremely wide so as to not leave any doubt
