In the press conference today, Tarver claimed he walks around at 225, and is 217 now. He was explaining why he didn't bother going to cruiserweight before going to heavy.

I just have a hard time understanding how Tarver was 220 out of shape and getting down to 175 for his light heavy fights.. We're talking about a 6'3 grown 40 year old man.

It's similar to what Atlas was saying about Glen Johnson, who weighed in unofficaily at 190 for the last Dawson fight, then was 190 again fight-night against Cloud. Obviously he killed himself to make weight. And it will be even worse when GJ faces Green.

It's amazing what these guys go through to make weight but hey if the money's good enough...I just hope GJ isn't so exhausted from making 168 that he won't last 12 rounds.

As for Tarver, it looks like he'll be just as large, if not larger, then Haye and Adamek.

Isn't Tarver negotiating for a fight with Cloud.

you gotta understand that was a while ago, as you age the weight sticks, so before he might of been walking around 200

Tarver wants to fight Haye, not Klitschkos.

Well, Tarver's style and approach to his attack is more tailor made for the HW division. I just don't know if his reflexes will be what they should be to upset a Klitschko down the road. We'll see.

Vitali or Vlad's jab will hurt him badly, but Haye is a different story.
