Have there been any heavily tattooed boxers that have been extremely successful? The only one I can think of is Pacquiao, with what I would consider nothing more than moderate tattooing.

Mike Tyson got most or all of his tats after prison, although I'd still consider winning a couple of world titles "successful" as it's something that 99% of fighters never do.

Right, for Cotto, I should have been more specific. I don't consider him, because I consider the tattoos coming on the back-end of his career. Same with Mosley. And I assume, Margarito.

It's becoming a bit commonplace now, isn't it?

Diego Corrales had a fair collection of tatts and was very successful and even more entertaining.

Yeah, Corrales was my thought. But I wouldn't consider him super successful. Can we say then that there are no real GREAT boxers who achieved that status while heavily tattooed?

It seems these guys get worse the more tattoos they get. Personally I hate them. I dont see how these guys can cover their bodies in that ****. What if you dont want them anymore?

Hector Lopez,Alex Garcia,Johnny Tapia (more so) all got a lot of Tv coverage back in the 90s.

TOm Sharkey is the only old timer that comes to mind.
