man, just because Johnson is 40 doesnt mean its not a good win for Cloud. Cloud is young and still a lil green, give him some time. youre just sounding like a hater. Cloud tight, quit being an *******

This is pretty much where I stand with Cloud. I'm a fan of his. He trains hard, he fights hard, and he's entertaining. He's not on the superior level skill level to be a p4p type of fighter, and it's not too difficult to envision him getting taken to school by a pure boxer. Does that make him a bum? No. He's really good at what he does.

You might want to watch that fight again. I think he easily hits hard enough to have had Woods out of there, he just wasn't smart. He had Woods in trouble A LOT in the fight but when he did he would just start head hunting a gave Woods a chance to recover.

This covers the 2nd half of that fight, he pretty clearly establishes himself.

He hits hard, consider the fact that even though his last 3 opponents were at various stages of old and/or shot...they all have a history of granite chins. He's the only fighter to stop Gonzalez(who went 12 with prime Jones). Clinton Woods has a ridiculous chin as well, he was only stopped once...by Roy Jones...on cuts, and he hasn't exactly been down much his entire career, finally, the biggest badass of the 3, Glen Johnson has never been down in 17 years(took a standing TKO).

Regarding the list you made. I find it a little odd that you say Pascal would win every single round against Cloud when the list, to me, more accurately describes Pascal. I think Cloud's conditioning is fine. I think your exaggerating to say he was physically gone after 3 rounds...he was able to hurt Johnson late in the fight and he finished out the last couple of rounds strong after taking a rest round in the 9th. He's not a stamina freak like Pacquiao, or a prime Glen Johnson, or Margarito or anything like that, but his stamina is fine. I would agree that he is one-dimensional though.

What I really think Cloud needs is more experience. ESPN classic replayed his fight with Gonzalez and he was doing a better job with the shoulder roll than he was against Woods or Johnson. That's not to call him a defensive wizard, Gonzales caught him with some uppercuts, but he was MUCH sharper defensively than his last 2 fights.

does Cloud stand a good chance of being lined up for the Hopkins-Pascal winner? or is his name not big enough?

If Pascal won I think Cloud would be a big enough name and they could market it well. I don't quite foresee a Hopkins/Cloud fight though.

all i gotta say is after pascal beat dawson, in the ring he announced that he was ready for anyone and said he was willing to challenge the best including hopkins, cloud, ....but it seems as they went for hopkins....more money?bigger name?...either way i think that pascal/cloud would be a good fight but i think that pascal would take the win no matter where the fight took place....

I'm sure they'll dig up some worn out, half-chinned corpse of a fighter for him to knock out....come to think of it, that pretty much exactly describes what Zuniga was brought in for.

    Cloud is overrated..

****ing hell you can look the man in the eyes and tell he's soft as shite..Sure he's got skills but in the ring with a solid, skilled, and focused fighter Cloud WILL hit the shithouse.
