Does anyone have an idea why Cloud refused to engage in the second round. Campanillo hadn't yet started his assualt, and didn't do anything in the first to warrant respect, yet Cloud who had him nearly out in the first, sat back and took the entire 2nd round off.

What was he thinking. He game his opponent 3 full minutes to get warmed up and start to get fluid in his movements. And it SHOULD have cost him the fight.

As a Champion, and supposedly a killer instict champion, he showed anything but a killer instinct last night. Yeah, I know the ref held him back from KOing the man, but he still has the obligation to continue his onslaught directly after the break, and starting the next round.:rofl

    Seriously disappointed.:-(

I refuse to acknowledge this as a win for Cloud. He got his ass schooled silly against a true top 5 LHW. If it weren't for the knockdowns he would've been two rounds shy of being shut out - that is how ridiculous the skill disparity was.

Wait, are you actually saying the second knockdown shouldn't have been called?

I noticed that myself. I thought maybe he had hurt himself. Maybe he did. Maybe he punched himself out a little, I don't know. Campillo should have won though. That 116-110 in favor of Cloud was laughable. It means in that judge's eyes, Cloud won the fight even if you don't factor in the 2 KDs in rd 1. Ridiculous.

I hear you,but that fool Cloud wasnt hurt or punched out. He underestimated the man and thought he could stop him anytime he wanted to. Campillo kicked his ass from post to post and displayed boxing skills that says he is ready for any light heavy out there.I like to see the best fight the best and Cloud showed me that hes not the best. That decision was bad for the talent pool and it robs the fans of seeing really good fights and delays good fighters from possibly becomming great fighters.

what i dont get is how in the 11th they had the doc look at the cut and then he got real desperate, i looked at my brother and was like why didnt he do this 5 rounds ago

I was rooting for Cloud and he lost bad, the 116-110 was awful

also i dont get how Cloud was not able to land that right again with Campillos head always straigh up never moving

Campillo is an awkward southpaw a nightmare for anyone reminds me of a lesser punching Martinez

Agreed 100%. And you have to feel for a guy like Campillo, after Shu, now this. Who knows what kind of a legacy this could have had if he had been given fair shakes.
He seemed to handle it well. Hope he gets another shot and gets rewarded with the W.

And I like Cloud, but he has work to do if he wants to go beyond where he is now.

He has no corner and did not cut off the ring. Campillo was moving into his line of power and did nothing to counteract.

His trainers, corners, and handlers are idiots.

Punchers are born not made. Why are they so focused on bulking him up instead of giving him the tools to use that power? He could not cut off the right to save his life. You look at that through the lens of his training/strategy. He was constantly winging head shots at a very elusive target and not working the body. The one sequence he had success with, jab-straight, he seemed to completely abandon. And WTF was that "Boxing" display he was putting on? Just horrible corner instruction.

The man's only saving grace is that this opponent was a replacement and I have a feeling that Campillo is not a walk in the park for any aggressive puncher.

He blatantly lost. I had him winning 1 round after the 1st (the 6th). He wouldn't stand a chance against any of the top LHW. In the Ring top 10 he would be beat by any of them I'd guess (maybe he beats Diancou but **** knows why he's in the ratings).
