Jermaine won the 2nd fight 115-113 even though he slowed in the last 2 rounds. I don't think a guy can be beat with just a jab when he is throwing the much more harder and effective punches. The scoring was way off. Yes Pavlik threw more but he didn't land much outside of the jab. Taylor landed the huge effective shots. I don't think work rate wins it in this case. Jermaine hardly went to the ropes just like against Lacy. He has gotten better and would KO Pavlik at 168.
No doubt. Dude says he's from Columbus, but hates on Pav daily. Yo' Jeff M, ever been to the "Horse Shoe"?
I have all the respect in the world for JT. Great fighter with a humble and respectful personality. I guess you failed to see the post fight press conference when he admitted defeat and said that he would like a third chance at Pavlik later down the line.
Ill need to see it again. I saw it the first time via a crappy live stream and had JT winning. I then saw it on HBO replay and had PAV winning but it was close.
2 deaths in my immediate family close in time frame, damn near lost my business with ****ed up economy, had to chase work and ****, so getting to have fun bull shittin' boxing unfortunately fell down on my priority list for a spell. But the sun is shining thru the clouds again. Atleast for now.:good
Well, post your score card. Most had it even going into the 11th where Kelly almost ended it with a body shot. He later said he needed about 20 more seconds to finish and the man knows his 'finish' like few others. :deal That led to him taking the 12th.
I had Pavlik winning 115-113. The fight was close and Taylor gave Pavlik hell but he faded abit down the stretch.
I had Pavlik winning 116-112.It was the type of fight hard to score but I thought Pavlik definetely won and even Taylor didn't say anything. This is clearly a Pavlik hater.
JT did not win that fight. Sure he made some adjustments i.e. staying off the ropes but Pavlik switched it up and showed he can box.
:good Thumbs up to JT, for wanted to avenge his losses. At 168 it might be a better fight than the 2nd.
I scored the fight for JT, 115-113. In a few of those early rounds, it seemed as though JT was landing all the clean shots while many of Pavlik's punches were getting picked off. Despite this, the judges where giving these rounds to Pavlik. I don't have a problem with the judges awarding the fight to Pavlik, but I think it's certainly reasonable for someone to have scored that fight for JT.
