One thing you have to realize is that JT is a class act. He was upset that Hopkins continued to complain how he was robbed against Taylor, and refused to give him credit for the win. Even if Taylor believed that he won(which he probably did), he wasnt going to say so because of the experience from the Hopkins fights.

I only watched the fight once Live on TV and I remember I had Taylor winning after 6 but I remember him doing next to nothing in the last few rounds and practically gave the fight to Pavlik on a plate.

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and take the man at his word. One of the few fighters that I respect left in the sport. Hopefully JT is still formidable if/when KP decides to move up and we can get the trilogy. I'll definitely be pulling for Jermain until then!

Jermaine said he felt he won the fight when Larry Merchant asked him the post fight interview but like you say he's a class act. I also don't dislike Pavlik at all. I just have watched the fight several more times lately and thought Taylor more effective punching should have one him more rounds. Two judges had Pavlik winning by 4 or 5 points. I thought it was outrageous. I do hope the rubber match happens eventually.

If you count the ams that was the rubber fight. JT beat Kelly in the Olympic trials.

It was hard not to like JT after watching the post fight interview. Even JT's mother thanked Pavlik for not talking trash about her son and Kelly told her he was sure JT would do well at 168. I almost hate to see these two fight again after that....

Jeff M, I'm just a couple hours out of Columbus. Do you recomend a visit to the "Horse Shoe"?

It was a close fight but I thought Pavlik edged it and deserved the nod.

Well, Kelly was getting robbed on the score cards in the first bout. Jack Lowe told Kelly going into the 11th the fight was a draw. A lot of people saw it that way and lots gave Kelly the last two.

They conducted they're selves well in that fight. Loew is the one that talks trash. I don't like him and I don't think he can do Kelly and more good at this point.

Same here, he comes across as a complete ******* like most of Pavlik's brigade (apart from Pavlik himself who seems like a good guy).

I'm sure Pavlik would benefit from a change in trainer.

Yes I recommend it. It's an insane atmosphere. I admit buckeye fans are the most extreme but hey we love it here. It's a real nice area. I'm only a few hours from youngstown so I thought about going to the fight. I have been to games and concerts at the shoe. I had no idea how big it was until I was on the field for a concert.
