Who knows this 1st career loss for taylor might bring back the eye of the tiger.

Its hard to stay hungry when your the top dog and every1 around you nuthugs..Only natural to go to ones head..

If i were taylor i would be at my most dangerous right now..Quickly licking my wounds whilst thinking about nothing but redemption...

    Hope a rematch does eventuate..

But in all honesty if i were pavlik i would make atleast 1 defence of the title before taylor v pavlik 2.

    Make Taylor earn his rematch..

    What eye of the tiger?

Taylor's limitations aren't exceptional to his last few fights. He's had this stigma for awhile now. Poor stamina because he doesn't have elite training methods, a brawler front runner mentality that he tries too hard to impress in the first few rounds and a vunerabiity to right hands.

I hate to say it, but Taylor isn't far off from Zab Judah. Of course he is a bit more focused but overall almost an exact copy.

There is no denying that Taylor has heart. The problem is heart doesn't come into play if your opponent can end your night with 1 or 2 right hands.

After seeing the first fight a few times I am certain that Taylor won't repeat the second round. Pavlik took alot of punches before he went down and I'm quite certain they will study that round a gazillion times before the rematch. Pavlik will likely bring his guard closer and keep tight behind the jab. Which ultimately will lead to a more patient approach.

His jab was also doing a number on Taylor as the fight wore on. And Sky sports was hilariously biased in their round by round commentary for Taylor.

In any event I see Pavlik more responsible defensively and I see Taylor trying his best, but ultimately sucumbing to his endurance issues and getting knocked out again.

Agree, Pavlik won't make the mistake that he made in the 2nd rd, again. This time he won't showboat. it'll be strictly business. The results will be the same. I think Taylor drops Manny.

All of the questions were answered in the first bout, this time Pavlik won't be stupid and won't get caught with his hands down like that again. Other than that, as the rounds went on the heat started wearing Taylor down and made him have no poise at all.

Waste of time, Pavlik KO even sooner. I want to see Pavlik fight someone else, like Abraham.

I really want too see Pavlik take on Abraham too:good But think he needs a easy one with some like More next as I don't want him to burn out because of fighting one tough fight after other Zertuche,Miranda and Taylor were all rough fights.
Really don't like that they had a rematch clause for Taylor vs Pavlik after all Pavlik was the number one contender he should not had to sign one to get a shot at the title:twisted:

That is so true. That just shows you that the Taylor camp was worried from the getgo. Doesnt matter though--I dont see Pavlik sticking out his chin in the next fight. I do however see Taylor getting Ko'd again only sooner than last time.

True. Not to mention the "measley" $666,000.00 he got for starring in one of the biggest TV fights of the year. All of which was supposed to make Kelly turn down the deal, but SURPRISE, he took it.

  10. Pavlik will stop Taylor again, i just can't see anything different than the first fight- only next time my money will be on Kelly..:respect

The rematch will be just as good as the first one. This time we'll really see what Jermain is made of. Many people including myself thought the old Jermain Taylor would show up but he didn't because the Jermain Taylor that was winning those horrible fights was...well winning. I think he has what it takes to beat Pavlik I believe he can't back away and let Pavlik dictate the pace with his long reach. In order for him to win he's going to have to make it a dog fight if he can do that I think he KO's Pavlik in the rematch.
