What possible legitimate challenger can the WBC put up against Froch and still have him come out with the belt?

Hope Green learns to stop looking at his feet during the fight.

i think its a good match up and good mesh of styles which should make for a good fight.

green is a fighter who will not fight overseas

taylor is a fighter who will not fight overseas.
it makes sense to fight each other , more an opurtunity for green as i think its a no win fight for taylor.

What are you saying,,, that fighting Green in front of a 2 or 3 thousand people in the US will bring Taylor more $$ ??? :huh

I guess he'd get the much bigger split,,, but still,,, there can't be alot of dough to be split there!!! :think:huh

Green is at least as big a name in the US as Froch is, if not bigger.

With Taylor getting the lion's share of the purse against Green, I'm sure he's in for a better payday than he would be against Froch.

What's unfortunate for Froch is that if he'd been fighting someone like Green before he won the belt, he'd have a bigger name stateside, HBO would've picked up Taylor/Froch, and we wouldn't be in this predicament in the first place.

Damned. I get tired of repeating. Showtime has given Taylor/Manager a guarantee/budget what ever you want to call it. Taylor takes his, the rest is Greens. The amount mentioned for Froch before the GB PPV numbers is probably about right.

Your not displayng a very good sense of history in this post. JT never had a chance to take any easy fights after Spinks. Pavlik/zertuche was suppose to be an title eliminator. HBO decided Jermain should fight Miranda, so Kelly had to fight a second eliminator. Pavlik was hand picked to make Miranda look good. I think the plan was for Miranda to KO the young, undefeated hotshot, and then Jermain would box the ears off Miranda, and their star would turn to gold. BUT, there was a fly in the ointment: no one told Kelly about the plan:hey Jermain had to fight Pav, and the rest is history.
