Funny thing is I think that Green has a better chance of beatting Taylor then Froch does.

No. Haven't you heard? Froch is so great EVERYBODY avoids him. Everybody avoids horse crap also. Think their could be a correlation there? :think

I'M from Canada, so my Queen is Elizabeth II, as Carl Froch. I won't let you laugh of one of my "cousins" like that. :nono You just have to say Carl Froch and every SMW in the world pea in their pants. That's a proven fact. :deal
Kessler,Bute, Taylor, Dirrell, Tsypko, Andrade, Bika, Balsay, and all the others, they all make nightmares with Froch beating them to the pulp.

I'm from the US and we peed on your queen. :deal But you are right, all of the SMW have nightmares of tiny purses to be had for dismantling the windmill that is Carol Froch.

Well, in fact I'm from Quebec and we also pee on the queen! There was in the 60's a riot when she was here. She never came back to Québec since. Sometimes I'm proud of my fellow citizens. Maybe one day Froch will come here and never come back.

Sucks for Green. Looks like he's been thrown to the wolves. Green is gonna lose this one.

A loss isnt gonna help him much.

I doubt it. Taylor/Miranda was actually in talks before this was announced. Miranda will have to work his way back up now.

Miranda tried to get this fight, but it didnt work out. I agree with Hermit that Miranda needs another win or two. Not that Green has beaten anyone decent since his loss to Miranda, but at least Green went the distance with Pantera and has fought a few times since.

I used to like Green before all the bull**** that happened with him and ESPN. JT wins this one easy if it goes the distance. But Green has a solid punch and JT chin aint the best so it could be a battle!

People seem to forget he was SERIOUSLY ill when he took that fight, and he still almost won, not to mention that Miranda has fought much more cautiously since he got destroyed by Pavlik.

Its not like it is out of the realm of possibility for Green to win this.

Green's best weapon is his thunderous left hook. Not only is it devestating, he throws it so quickly and precisely it looks effortless. It could definitely give Taylor problems. Fortunately for Taylor though, it's his left hand he keeps low, not his right.

Other than that, I think Green's technique is lacking; he keeps his hands to low, stares at his feet (which he keeps flat and too far apart), keeps his head too high with his chin out, and doesn't put his punches together very well.

Taylor's technique isn't perfect either, but it's head and shoulders above Green's, and Green has shown himself easy to hit with a questionable chin against guys that are nowhere near as talented as JT. Green will not have seen a jab anywhere near as good as Taylor's, and may have trouble finding an answer for it. If he doesn't, and Taylor can set up some of those BIG RIGHT HANDS, it will be goodnight for Green.

While I'd rather see Taylor/Froch, this would be a very interesting fight to watch. Maybe it doesn't carry as much weight in the division, but I'd definitely tune in.
