Hopkins (Taylor starts well,Hopkins takes over) 6. Taylor (poor round from Hopkins) 7. Hopkins (nice punch picking- cracking right hand mid way through the round) 8. Taylor (more active throughout) 9. Taylor (As above) 10. Hopkins (big round) 11. Hopkins (Taylor in trouble) 12. Hopkins (Taylor made no play) total:- 115-113 I think this Hopkins loses to Calzaghe on points. TBH. That was shocking at times.
It was at 160 to be fair, it was tough for the old man being such a big middleweight to get down to that The worrying thing is of his recent opponents Taylor is the only one that compares with Joe athletically and in speed. Tarver is an old man. Winky is past his best and out of his depth at 170. Joe is going to be faster and stronger than Jermain Taylor, so Hopkins better be worried from that viewpoint
I can't remember how i scored but i seem to remember me giving Taylor more of the early rounds than you did. Im going to watch it again tomorrow and give round by round.
i just watched it again and for me taylor won it by 2 rounds, but it could go either way, but i still think taylor won 1/2 rounds
Yeah let us know your scoring...... Hopkins looked weight drained and very pale...... makes you think. He was much more cut against Tarver and that was at a higher weight obviously.
7-4-1 even for taylor. hops just didn't do enuff early. on the night i had taylor. and since then i've always scored for taylor. i thought he won the 2nd fight as well. although it was a little closer.
I had taylor 115 - 113 in both. but back then i did not apreciate defence as much as i do now. if it had been now certainly the 1st fight would have been a draw.
