is that like saying the guy who beat hopkins twice and lost close decisions to pavlik twice....no we dont need to compare that to froch do we?

    dont be so blinkered.

  2. I'm not blinkered but..... I don't get into stupid arguments about who is more known.... Blah blah blah..... This is ****ing boxing not a popularity contest.

And Froch unknown is the U.S..... Yes.......... But Taylor is unknown in the U.K..... so ****ing what.

Froch is the belt holder and Taylor is the No1 Contender.... just flippin fight

if boxing was that easy, yeah i agree, it would make more sense.

but part of the problem is that froch is only a paper champion and because there are so many belts people get lost in this "belt", "champion", undefeated" merrygo-round.

i agree with you in principle but the bottom line is that this is a gift fight for froch that most british fighters who don't try to cut into the US market rarely get.

Froch is doing what most title holders in recent memory fail to do and that's defend his title abroad and in his first ****ing defense at that. The man deserves plenty of kudos for that. Taylor didn't come off very well in this little saga and Aericans harping on about being "known" is quite ridiculous. Taylor beating Froch is far more repectable than Allan Green.

Taylor his a mandatory so he didn't choose to fight Taylor! But props to him to go defend his title in the US !

  6. Obviously I know this..... but when you have the WBC belt holder calling you out when your the number 1 contender..... and then try and duck the fight by saying he is unknown blah blah blah.......and then look for fights with Allan Green and Jean Pascal is a pretty gay move.

And it's not as though Taylor can draw any sort of numbers anyway.... at least Froch can draw a crowd in his hometown unlike Taylor

yeah but its not about how many live numbers you can draw and you need to stop using froch's belt as leverage.

froch's a good fighter but he's in the same barrel as guys like felix sturm and junior witter - this is a christmas present for him in the same way the delahoya fight was for sturm.

forget rankings and belts - talk turkey.

bottom line - taylor's a young guy who gained huge rep for dethroning hopkins (just..) and gavew pavlik two excellent fights.

froch is now what enzo was before he fought haye - and his resume isn't much better.

    thats just the truth.

  8. Get out of Taylor's ass man.... No body is disagreeing with you that Taylor isn't the bigger name.... I just hate nuthuggers argueing that "my fav boxer is better becauase he makes more money"

WHO GIVES A **** !!! Your not going to get any of that money.... I just want to see them fight

****ing hell. How can you say stop using the title as leverage. It is what it is which is a world title. That is leverage whether you like it or not. Froch is the "champ". Taylor is the one is coming across as wanting anyone but Froch. Why? Both men are getting a big opportunity here. Taylor gets a chance to beat a legit contender and title holder at 168 while Froch gets a chance to improve his profile by fighting in the states against the former undisuted middleweight champ. You make it out as if Taylor is doing Froch a favour here.
