Kessler gets him mid rounds, easy fight. If Taylor couldn't handle Pavlik's jab and right, let's see how he does against an elite boxer-puncher stylist.
That looks like the weigh in weight? I am wondering what they weighed when they stepped into the ring. Since Taylor stepped in at 171 (164 weigh in) against Pavlik I'm wondering if the fight were soon, if he would be at a disadvantage by not have given himself time to add muscle.
Two guys coming off losses who both have something to prove and still have a chance to make an impact on the 168 lbs division. I can't think of a reason not to like this match up.
If this is true, seems like Taylor must have liked the feeling of getting KTFO cos this is what will happen if he steps into the ring with the Danish Viking
Taylor is the definition of a real man. Win or lose he is proving to the world that he aint scared of no one. Alot of fighters cant say that today. He backs down from no one. Although i think Kessler would win, you cant knock Taylor for being a man and stepping up to the challenge. I have a great amount of respect for both of them and after they both take a tune up fight i would love to see them get it on. Hopefully taylor would be greatly improved cause i would really like to see him get some wins over the tougher competition.
It would be great if this fight comes off. You really got to hand it to Taylor if it does, the guy is willing to face the best, fight in and fight out, even if he's the underdog in the match. I would give the nod to Kessler, but Taylor has to be a live dog in the match. It would be nice to see Kessler in with an easier mark before taking on Taylor just to see how he reacts after the Calzaghe match. Lets hope this does happen late 08 or early 09.
I give alot of props to taylor for fighting all the competition and never running. He fought everyone there was to fight at Middleweight and if Miranda would have beaten Pavlik he would have fought him too. Im not the biggest taylor fan, but I definately give him props for taking tough fights, that aspect of his career will give him a better legacy when he decides to hang them up.
Only reason I don't want to see this fight is because I want to see Taylor get a win in his next match, and I don't see that happening against Kessler. I'd like to see him whip Mundine first to be honest.
Taylor really needs a tune up before taking such a fight - I wouldn't like to see him with 3 losses in a row. He deserves better.
I think Kessler will beat Taylor. I guess this fight is possible, heard it on HBO and several other sources.
