It was a few years later than that controversial decision win, after Joppy had taken a one-sided pasting from Hopkins and been inactive and in trouble with the law, whilst Eastman had strung together 7/8 wins. Taylor was all set for the fight and then pulled out when it was clear he'd have to get his passport out. I think it was this rather than the prospect of fighting Eastman but still, it's clear than Jermain doesn't like to get his passport out which was my original point.

So, I will NEVER find a quote from you ANYWHERE about the ABC's and their mandatories being a fraud. Right? Again, the WBC wants Taylor as champ. They see him as better income. Why should JT give a crap about what the WBC wants? Or any other ABC? Do you have any evidence he asked to be ranked?

One thing I'll have to concede to Froch on this one. Micheal Marley is not a source I would put money on. Just because JT doesn't care about Froch or the WBC belt doesn't mean he is ducking him if he never called Froch out or ASKED to be ranked by the WBC. A title shot in his first 168 fight? Yeah, the WBC is gaining more credibility every day. :patsch

So, ignoring the 'abc' belts and 'fraudulent mandatories', can you give us a reasonable reason why someone claiming to be a contender in a division should avoid a fight that is there for him against Froch to instead fight the guy who Froch just beat?

As I've said previously, Taylor avoids Froch to fight Bute or Kessler, I got no problem.

He avoids Froch to fight Pascal, I'm gonna call it like it looks.

If he wasn't interested in being ranked he could have just said he wanted to fight Lacy and didn't want it to be an official eliminator.

I assume he paid a sanctioning fee, of sorts?

This is about Taylor fighting the best - at 168 to date, he hasn't.

As Cobbler says, if he swerves Froch and fights someone either with a title or credible, then fine. But not Pascal, who was recently beaten by Froch.

Taylor fights for the biggest purse available. That isn't Froch. Simple math really. I'll bet you would do the same.

And lets be REAL honest here. Froch knew the belt didn't hold sway for Taylor in negotiations so he is gambling that he can goad Taylor into this fight for lesser money by letting it go to purse bid and talking crap. All mouth with Froch. He knew if this wasn't on Taylors terms, it wasn't going to happen or else he is seriously deluded in his drawing power because of the strap that the WBC handpicked Taylor to pick up on his way into the division.

And people on this board is ok with Taylor fighting a nobody for more money, but if Kessler ends up fighting Mads Larsen which money wise shits all over Taylor Vs. Pascal will get stick en masse...

By the way I do not want Kessler to fight Mads Larsen I would prefer him to fight Taylor :D

Fine, if that's all you expect of fighters. Just make sure you apply that consistently.

As much as I hate Froch and like Taylor, if he is really looking for Pascal then he is AGAIN avoiding Froch.

Marley, agent of Kessler, maybe trying to make ppl think that Froch is out til June and unavailable for big fights.

With Taylor being a former WBC champ at middle, these things do happen. But usually it is the fighter that requests to be ranked.

You'd think Taylor wants to be in the title mix - because what else is there, there's no super fight, and Froch is the most US friendly & exciting of the champs (others being Kessler, Bute, Balzsay). JT had a fight around 164 with Pavlik. He had an easy win/payday v Lacy, up to the super middle limit. Now Pascal, WBC ranked, to set up a Froch fight? Unusual. JT is seemingly in a sort of limbo, avoiding the big questions.

Why don't we have a double header- Froch v Lacy and Taylor v Pascal:roll: Fight could be called, "Anything But..."
