It's for the best. Manny and Jay don't mix.

why the **** would he switch to Roach? That makes no sense at all. first of all roach has plenty of fights already so that makes no sense. Jermain Taylor is kinda stewarts main guy other than Klitchko so I really don't get why he would switch. He is getting everything he will ever need with Stewart, changing the trainer will not do anything. Roach might get him in better shape but, being in shape doesn't beat Pavlik, fighting smart does and thats where Stewart might excel in.

Either way, I think Pavlik knocks him out again, but I'd be interested to see if Roach could help Taylor make adjustments or if Taylor is as good as he will ever be. My guess is the latter...

I think it would be an excellent idea. Mannys style is not well suited for Taylor, at this point anyone would be better.

anyone think manny and pavlik would be an interesting mix?, i mean kp is already a one two guy, and he might lose some of his 'action' appeal, but it could also be in pav's best interest for longetivity.

The only thing is Roach would only have a few months to change Taylors style, I just don't think thats enough time for Taylor improve:-(

This is excellent news....Taylor was going to deposit that worthless Youngstown fieldworker onto the canvas anyway with Manny but now he may actually give this fool a dirtnap in the ring.

Taylor can be train by Gandai and the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr and he would still beat Asslik in a boxing match (see scorecards for details) just need to keep the damn left high and throw uppercut (like he use too) when he hit Casper on his cotton chin.

Everyone is saying that "Asslik will knock him out again"...why? Taylor chin is proven, he only been down ONCE in his whole boxing career so to make statement like that is being overzealous.....we know that Casper chin is Winnie the Poohes....stuff with fluff....hence his trips to the canvas courtesy of Zuniga, Burbech, McKart (all of those 3 are on journeys in boxing and have no real importants in the grand scheme of things) and TAYLOR.

If anyone is going down in the rematch....it's Asslik!!!!

JT already tried Manny and it did not work. What's wrong with trying another trainer? JT and Manny even had a spartan training in a secluded place. They spent a lot of time together but still nothing happened. Hence, better try another trainer. But of course the outcome might still be the same. At least JT tried a different approach.

Learn how to score a fight. 4-2 Pavlik was a good score.

And learn a little creativity. Asslik?:-(

Pavlik won the 1st fight by KO. He is likely to do it again.

    Get the **** out:hi:

No, even Jermain thought he was losing the fight.

As others have said, Roach can't change Taylor as a fighter that much, especially in just a few months. He relies on his athletic ability mixed with a good jab more than overall boxing skills and I don't think he will ever evolve into a very good technical fighter. Taylor will be knocked even faster in the rematch because Pavlik will not let the 2nd round madness happen again. Although he's not an amazing fighter and is nothing more than a large sized solid pressure fighter with great power, I think Pavlik can beat any middleweight in the world and would KO Abraham. But when he steps up to 168 he will be wishing he was back at 160.
