I love how BHOP is still around, still a champ, and still getting big fights, while JT suffers from nightmares after Pavlik KO'ed him.

Hell Taylor-Calzaghe was the big talk 6 months ago. Now Hopkins -Calzaghe is in negotiations:yep :good

Because Taylor thinks he won't get strached with the extra lbs.

    But guess what....:yep

Zak, you're bordering on paranoid re this topic.

    BHop/Taylor 1 and 2 were very close.

    7-5, 6-6 or 5-7.

Both fights could have gone either way.

    Same with Winky.

    There was no robbery.

And Taylor came close to KOing Pavlik in round 2. He was out-boxing him till he got caught. I picked Taylor the first time and I was wrong.

The second fight could easily go either way.

HBO is not a factor. Explain the mechanism wherby they would influence each judge. A bit of Paranoia.

    Holy-Lewis (1) was a robbery,

    Oscar-Tito was a robbery

(Neither was conspiracy, just poor judging)

Taylor was 'lucky' to come out with both W's against Bernard.

But if Bernard had won both, I'd consider him lucky too, especially in the first fight.

A fight I would like to see is the winner of this one against Calzaghe (or even Kessler).

Maybe Pavlik is that confident of beating Taylor that he is even willing to fight at a higher weight just to accomodate JT.

Probably JT is that hopeless in making 160lbs!

Man I hope this change in trainers makes a difference for JT. The first issue Team Taylor must address is his stamina and what can he do to conserve his energy for the championship rounds. I feel that he has the ability to outbox Kelly but can he do it for 12 rounds? And please stay off the ****ing ropes:patsch

About Taylor's stamina issues: Stamina is also a matter of talent. You can train all you want, those East African runners would always smoke you in a marathon. I am sure Manny did not let him get away with undertraining for stamina. I am sure DHL trains hard but he tends to gass as well. Pavlik is simply more gifted there, a natural endurance talent.

I can actually see Taylor winning the rematch.

It's definitely not a foregone conclusion either way.

You could argue that Taylor could win....but the fact is that Pavlik must now feel far more confident than before. Going into the first fight he will no doubt have had a feeling in the back of his mind that this was a huge step up...now he goes in feeling he can stop Taylor at any given moment. He will likely be more aggressive and make Taylor back pedal even more.

In addition Taylor cannot hope to avoid being tagged for 12 rounds, he cannot expect his stamina to allow him to avoid toe to toe action for 12 rounds as he simply does not have that footwork or huge stamina to run all night. But he will be wary of the power and cautious...so it could well cost him his best chance to win. And that chance is actually to hurt Pavlik as he did in the first fight, but to do so regularly and to apply enough pressure and aggression that Kelly cannot get into his own rhythm and has to think of survival rather than pressing the action.

If Taylor is mindful of Pavliks power and trying to keep a distance with just boxing slick, he will remove his only way of actually keeping Pavlik off him for the duration of the fight.

You have to go with Pavlik by KO, but obviously we know Taylor can hurt him and so it would not be shock of the century if he won.

I know that Pavlik won the first fight by brutal KO but let's not forget that the fight was at least close and nearly over in the second round, I'm still picking Taylor in the rematch and know that even if he loses it won't be one-sided in favor of Pavlik.

HBO and Lou Dibella damn sure did a good job hyping JT. People still believe in him, even after all the shakey decisions, his own hometown turning on him, and a viciously brutal KO.

How many times must he be exposed before people get the point??:-(

He is an AVERAGE fighter. :deal
