I just call them like I see them, and you must remember, sometimes I see as good as Ray Charles.

I also laid out the perfect fight plan for Kelly to own a nearly shot version of Hopkins. Trouble is, that version stayed home, and some freak of nature who owns the fountain of youth showed up.

 That was hilarious. Every round he said something that had to do with that statement and nothing else.

I'll make a coupple points here:

    1) In retrospect it seems like Jack Leow was more frustrated than Kelly was.

    2) No fighter against whom KP has made the double jab work lasted more than 8 rounds. When the double-jab starts working, the right hand finds a home. It's natural for Leow to push Pav to make it work. However, he certainly went to the extreme in that fight, and I think that goes back to my first point.

Funny thing is, I've been watching more fights lately, and that seems to be a "common" corner staple. Not just Jack Loew. My mother wasn't feeling well last night so I went to her place. Saw ESPN "classics" fights? Saw it on there. Also on a few fights I've downloaded.

I've written enough on the subject. Bottom line. I don't know enough about coaching to make that call. Kelly has lost ONE fight and was less than 100%, up two weight classes against a guy that he had to be 105% against that night.

Yes, the ability to make a double jab work is a very desirable trait. Unless you're giving away a lot of hand speed, doubling the jab is a good way to prevent a counter-right. Pavlik sometimes use it like a jack hammer to drive opponents backward, and at other times he just flicks it in order to diguise the right hand that is already on it's way.

People get a hold of Jack screaming double the jab a lot, and love to poke fun, but they tend to over look the fact that if KP gets that working, the fight is all but over.
