Just seen this now on the scene.

Bika and Green are scheduled to fight next month. It was already agreed that the winner of that fight would be 1st alternate if a Super6 fighter pulls out.

I'm glad to see that common sense has prevailed...

    I hope Taylor retires now.

I thought Allan Green was going to achieve a lot more than he has done to date. Should he beat Bika, and I think he does, he has avoided the hardest fight in The Super Six and this may just be the making of him.

I think he's made the right decision. However he said he's not retiring but just taking some time off boxing. He hopes to make a comeback in the future. From interviews and whatnot, he seems a really nice guy. Good luck to him.

I take it Green/ Bika will get all of Taylors points in the Super 6? Whoever steps in is up against it trying to qualify.

Taylor doesn't need to retire, he needs time off and several tune ups and build himself back up slowly......

  10. I'd have liked Smith thrown straight in there. Sue me.

I hope Bute replaces him. He's the only guy I'd honestly be happy with going into the tournament. As far as I'm aware he doesn't have another fight scheduled as of yet and he just destroyed Andrade and he's easily one of the top 3 in the division.

Of course I think the chances of him entering are pretty slim. Should he not enter, I'd rather Bika entered. He is a decent opponent. Green is ****.

    Got to agree

He's still young and he definitely needs to make some adjustments if he wants to ever be a champ again but I dont think a few losses mean he has to retire

Probably for the best, good luck to him. Got to admire his balls for jumping straight back in with Pavlik. Abraham after the Froch KO etc. Top guy too.

Arrogant, deluded guy by all insider accounts. Refusing to train properly, drinking and over-eating. But, still - for his health and the sake of his family, the much humbler version of Taylor that got knocked out by Froch and Abraham should retire.

he can still compete, but he is getting seriously damaged.
