I favored Taylor to win in their first fight. But he didn't look like the champion that he is as the fight progressed. Hence I switched allegiance and favored Pavlik instead. This time I pick Pavlik to win since he has proven to have the heart of a champion. I think that having the will to win separates the champion from the rest. Excellent physical condition can bring you some advantage but having the heart of the champion completes the athlete.

 

Taylor purposely said something to belittle Pavlik. It pissed me off. After the 1st fight I developed alot of respect for how JT conducted himself in defeat. He was very gracious. Now, he has to pop off with this 'boy' ****. So, he can kiss my ass & forget about getting any respect from me in the future. You don't hear Kelly being disrespectful to his opponents, do you? This is why I admire him, along with his skills being a natural in the ring. Sorry I upset so many of you PC advocates with my perceived racist comment. I was simply fighting fire with fire. And I never make any derogatory remarks about a fighter unless he 1st says something stupid to rile me.

Also, I appreciate those that commented, recogizing the fact that Taylor was acting like a fool & my comments were justified, although just as foolish.

I don't think JT meant it in a racial way. He is from the South. They use it all the time. I worked with a white guy from Oklahoma who used it all the time. It wasn't racial, and I can't see how someone would say JT was using it in a racial way unless they were looking for an excuse to start something.

so all that talk about the training camp getting down to basics and having the best training camp in a while with Emanuel Steward was total bull****......and now I am supposed to believe him,,,,I really want his ass KTFO by Pavlik now.

 

Taylor's gonna fight a very very cautious fight and this one is going down to the wire.

I don't think Pavlik will let Taylor fight a cautious fight. JT looked good in the last fight when Kelly let him box. I think Pavlik will try to apply constant pressure and make Taylor fight.

 

Do people not remeber the punches that Pavlik took, Taylor was inches away from stopping him, yes he got caught and eventually lost, but he definately WAS NOT OUTCLASSED!

Taylor can win the rematch and I think he will. The way he boxed in the first fight shocked me, it was if he was told by the people around him to 'be exciting' he isnt a natural slugger, in fact I dont think Taylor defence is that great when his is boxing well, so when he went toe to toe he got caught.

he needs to apply his jab early and pick up some rounds, which he is perfectly capable of doing. He cant get bullied though and should do what he showed in the first fight and HURT PAVLIK. To win this fight though he will have to find the middle ground, jab on the outside when he wants and let the cominations go as and when he wants, dont get drawn into a brawl.

I think he can do this, I think due to Pavliks exciting performances, he is being overrated by most people on the site as is the case on ESB, if a guy looks tough or wins a few knock outs then he is automattically touted as the next Mike Tyson, but as we all know a potential Iron Mike turns into a realistic Jeff Lacy very quickly. I think in the rematch we will see that an intelligent boxer with the right game plan can beat 'The Ghost' Kelly Pavlik.

Taylor's camp also tried to get the Pavlik camp agree to a weight ABOVE 160 in the first fight! After working and waiting as long and hard as he did for a title shot, no way they would agree to that BS.
