The first fight wasn't the egregious robbery people portrayed it as IMO; whilst Taylor struggled the first half of the fight, he definitely came on strong in the late rounds. Though Catterall probably deserved the nod the fight was much closer than some people portray it; in the rematch if Taylor isn't dead at the weight, and learns from the first fight in applying intelligent pressure from the outset, then I think Taylor should win this.
TBF Taylor will always try and turn it into a fight; it was Catterall who hugged and did laps of the ring whilst crying robbery afterwards.
It's so funny how Taylor can do no wrong in your eyes despite very chequered past. Taylor not ASBO man, not racist, did not lose to Catterall, not a 10 stone midget etc...
I honestly hate him with a passion. Would genuinely refuse to go near a fight or business deal with him involved. Starve him of earning a single penny or getting one second of the limelight.
Nice that there is some genuine needle in this one. I think Taylor is dead at the weight but hoping he makes it safely and gets the win. Catterall’s whining is doing my head in.
He's a wee rat. It's great when someone actually puts it on him, he shits a brick. Disgusting wee creature that he is.
taylor is archetypical scum that normal people avoid, laughs at, embarrassed of in context of national identity.
Fairly certain this is a standard part of promoter / boxer contracts. I remember Hearn mentioning recently that they wouldn't co-operate with freelancers like Whyte or Wardley like they used to. Reason he gave was that when Whyte got his title shot via purse bid, Matchroom didn't get the cut they would have had he been under contract.
Sam jones is so annoying why would anyone hire him? Making out that Taylor is avoiding Catterall to fight Lopez! Catterall laughing they Taylor lost his last fight, mentioned it several times. Catterall has fought a whole career against nobodies.
Can't remember his name but the dude sat next to Taylor did a good and fairly calm job of putting Jones back in his place. Curious to see what kind of reception he gets today in Manchester
