:rofl :rofl :rofl Except for the fact that fighters cannot just be compared on opposition. If they could Lockett and Manfredo would both be better than Bute as they have meet better opposition. Opposition alone is meaningless.
Frochy has had a few guys come in as late replacements, which is unfortunate, but that is the way it is sometimes. I feel Froch has the tools to do the job, but his lack of big fight experience could count against him - boxing on Junior Witter undercards (as it turned out) is not really the way to prepare for a big title fight.
Taylor's the more polished fighter, no doubt, but his lack of stamina and dodgy defence may be his undoing. There's no way Taylor stops Froch given that he's a big, solid chinned, SMW and Taylor's not exactly a brutal puncher, but he could easily outpoint him. On the other hand, if he walks onto one of Froch's thrown from the hip uppercuts then he's in serious trouble. Can't see it happening any time soon though; the last thing Taylor needs for his comeback is a big hitting, unorthodox opponent.
I don't see any reason why Taylor's chances should be discounted here. I see him as the clear favourite given how good he is and what his style is, compared to Froch's. This is a good fight. The winner would deserve to be a belt-holder. I see this as 60/40 for Taylor.
Fair enough. But all those fights were close and all those opponents are lightyears ahead of anyone Froch has fought.
If this fight comes to pass alot of people here will be eating humble pie when Froch starches Taylor. Believe!!!!
I think he could starch Taylor early before he had time to capitalize on the low left hand. Pavlik showed Taylor can be stopped and Froch has massive power
Yeah, but Taylor knows this and would use his jab and move, to stay alive on the outside for long enough to start controlling the action.
