People i guess judge fights in different ways Some prefer the aggressor and some prefer the cleaner work I honestly had Persoon by 2 rounds (mock me if you wish) but i won't watch again to score again as i thought it was a horrible mess of a boxing match and honestly never care to see it again
Many just think that Taylor was outworked. Yes, Persoon missed plenty. But she also landed as well. I thought Persoon just outworked Taylor and won it by a couple of rounds. Taylor landed clean punches, but not enough of them.
"Outworked". There's that word again. Quantity over quality? What exactly does the word outworked mean? Surely it only applies when other factors care equal. In a boxing contest, stumbling and flailing isn't "work". Without some semblance of quality in what she's doing Persoon can't be given credit for this as "work". Stumbling and swinging isn't "work" in any meaningful sense of the word.
I would have thought it was quite clear what it meant. People are allowed different opinions on a fight pal.
You are entitled to your opinion, yes. But for it to be credible it has to be backed up with evidence, facts etc. Wouldn't you rather buy a house in an estate where the houses were built at a rate of one per week, by builder A over a house that was in an estate built by builder B at a rate of 20 per week? Slapped up? Or would you say Builder B "outworked" builder A? Katie played a blinder in there. Completely outboxed Persoons " slopped together cowboy builder" approach. Persoons face told the story, and her initial honest opinion given immediately after the fight confirmed it. There is no room for doubt.
I find the building analogy a tad bizarre. Persoon was the aggressor throughout, threw more and landed more. Taylor for me did not do enough to win the fight. There is plenty of room for doubt, otherwise there wouldn't be so many who felt it was the wrong decision.
Not doubting Taylor did the quality work. She just didn’t do enough of it because for the majority of the round she was pack pedalling and couldn’t keep Persoon off her. Yes Persoon missed a lot but she also landed a lot. It’s just patronising for people to suggest they we don’t understand what we’re watching. Taylor’s reputation proceeds her that’s what the problem is.
Maybe Felix or work the body could post a list of the rounds they think Persoon won. We need to establish some clarity here. Otherwise we're just swinging and missing, Like Delphine! Come on lads, switch off Netflix and put away your Xbox and get busy..... Show me the rounds Delphine won. Let's have it.
2 minute rounds are hard to score and someone windmilling for 120 seconds every round is winning rounds.... I am a huge KT Taylor fan and id love her to punch my face in but i had Persoon winning....the 5 round scorecard to KT is a joke I really hope they move to 3 minute rounds before Taylor retires so she can show her skills properly
