I like Bute a lot, but he is a very, very different type of fighter compared to the two guys who beat JT. Another interesting aspect is that Taylor hates fighting southpaws. He made that clear before the first Pavlik fight. I'd have to give this one alot of thought. I don't actually want to see it anytime soon. JT should fight some guys like Brinkley, Miranda, Zuniga, et; at least two mediocre fighters before he takes on a toplevel guy. Brinkley followed by Miranda would be a good plan, then go after Balszay.

This was the most intriguing fight at 168 until last Saturday. Now i'd prefer for Taylor to have 2-3 fights against lower ranked opponents to get his confidence back. Winner of Miranda/Ward would be a good start.

Taylor needs to show that he belongs among the best at 168. Let him beat a top 10 SMW before going at the top guys!

    Bute by UD!

Err does Bute not need to beat a top 10 guy?

The Andrade fight proved he can be / and was, BEATEN !

...Bute is way better technically than Froch, if Froch can win 4 or 5 rounds, Bute win this one pretty easily by UD over the six rounder Taylor.

    Bute UD

You could say the exact same for Taylor at SMW.

I'm a Taylor fan more than a Bute fan, but after losing to Froch I said I'm no longer picking JT to win against top guys until he proves he can get his conditioning and mindset in order.

Pretty easily? Not a chance. This is a tough fight for either guy.

To beat Taylor pretty easily he'd have to win most of the early rounds that Taylor tends to dominate during. It's not as though Froch won rounds off an active Taylor. He took rounds off a Taylor who wasn't doing much of anything.

I would say if Taylor fade after 5 or 6 rounds with one or two close rounds, it would be a 8 - 4 decision for Bute or if its harder a 7 to 5. Maybe the word EASY is overused but it could look like Pavlik Taylor II.

Bute is better than Taylor in every single category, except handspeed which is probably a push.

Power, stamina, strength, defence, bodypunching, confidence, etc etc etc

And to top it off Bute is a southpaw.

Bute being the bigger stronger man,a slick southpaw with power I reckon would put Taylor to sleep late.
But it doesn't matter now as Taylor is out of the picture for now.
