I'm no millennial. My Join date is 2016 only on this acount. I've been banned multiple times for talking truth you deluded twat. My first esb acount was created in 2007.

Its not my fault you picked that uncoordinated downsy to win.

    Maybe.

I'm totally delighted right now though, mate. OD got crushed by Taylor and all the matchroom casuals got Scottish dongs stuck in their gubs in the process.

    ****in Dynamite.

OD couldn't make any adjustments at all. Just apply pressure, walk opponent down and throw shots from weird angles. That's probably enough for most guys

But (first time seeing him) you could tell Taylor was something special. Finding the neat gaps on the inside, keeping great composure and shape throughout. His lead right hook couldn't miss. Has O D not been in with a southpaw

Fast hands too . Another great prospect

Taylor could be world class but Davis isnt on that performance.

Imagine how boring this fight would be if everyone knew Taylor would crush him? Be like Danny Garcia vs Rod salka lol

After watching the IFL post fight interview with O'Hara Davies, it is clear he has not been humbled in the least. The first question asked about the defeat being the most cringe worthy. If he had won his ego would have gone through the roof, but he comes across as a very insecure character and seems to use money related answers when he feels threatened in some way. It's certainly not a good place to be.

Yeah OD hasn't got a style suited for the lower weight classes where technical fighters usually dominate. He could still scrape out a decent career from his personality and VERY careful matchmaking though.

I still don't understand what the need was to quit. Everybody knows that it's much better to go out on your shield unless something happens which could be life changing/threatening. That definitely wasn't the case with OD and it was so embarrassing the way he did it. At least quit in between rounds...

agree completely, was disappointing to see him quit, thought he was as tough as they come, but obviously not.

I dont understand why ohd wasnt keeping taylor at the end of those levers.
He was looking for those wild swinging hooks all night. well those shots will work against cans and ageing lightweights but not technical fighters who can fight at a higher level.
I do believe sims has to take some of the blame. Obviously the quit isnt something you can blame him for but as a trainer i havnt seen any of ohd technical ability get any better.
If ohd wants to ever go past british level he needs to change trainers imo.
Im not saying sims is a bad trainer, i know kev mitchell speaks very highly of him and hes done some great things with others in his care but im not sure hes the right guy for ohd.
I do believe ohd has potential but something has to change.
