Just re watch the fight. Very good and competitive fight. A lot of fans thinks Taylor lose to a lucky punch late in rd. 12, but it wasn't so. From round 7 Froch put more and more pressure to Taylor. Maybe Taylor stole some rounds, but Froch did wear him down slowly. 3 press row judges had if for Taylor before
    10 rd. 4,1 2 points
    11 rd. 3,0,1
    12 rd. 2,1,0

Commentator before the 12 rd. had 105-103 for Taylor.

I could see Froch beat Taylor again in the super six. Actually Froch look impressive and should be hold as a mayor factor to win the tournament !.

I agree. Froch is one of the most underrated fighters out there.

Anyone who uses the lucky punch line, or that Taylor was dominating Froch or Taylor gassed out or some such bull**** is basically saying they don't understand boxing.

Sarah good post, haven't seen it before. Just think Froch fought a great fight. If fighters and boxing fans thinks he was only lucky, they makes a big mistake. If Dirrells keep up letting himself to be push back wards easily, he will be under massive pressure in the fight against Froch.

    Exactly! :good

You'll generally find these are the people who've not actually watched the fight though just read the headlines and/or result. You can never judge a fighter purely based on word of mouth its always good to watch a fighter's whole fight before you pass judgement.

A perfect example I'd use would be Cotto vs Margarito - Cotto was doing very well for half the fight yet the way it's been reported you'd think Margarito dominated him up until the knockout. Some fights get won via domination others via a see-saw routine of back & forth till a victor emerges.

I don't think he's underrated anymore. And that's coming from a guy who was very sceptical about Froch. I'm talking about me. We all know Froch's strengths now but his flaws are still there. Taylor's major problem was not gassing. It's a matter of toughness and willingness. Taylor is not a warrior. If he were, he would have won the fight. If he were smart in a ring, he would have won. Froch has beaten Taylor in those two departments. In that case, Froch's strengths were perfectly fitting with Taylor's flaws. I think it will be the same thing against Dirrell. But I think that against Kessler, Bute, Ward, Pascal in a rematch, Froch has more chances to lose than to win.

I agree with the first part but completely disagree with the second part. As I watched the first half of the Cotto/Margo fight I saw Cotto winning the rounds but losing the fight. He was backpeddling, not hurting Margo, all the while getting more tired and hit more. Id placed a bet that Tony would knock out Cotto in rounds 10-12, and I spent a lot of the fight worried Margarito was going to catch up with him and knock him out before then. It was see-saw only in that Cotto was landing scoring punches while being continuously ground down.

Before the fight, i couldn't see Froch winning on points. Of cause Taylor can win a second fight - but now i could see a Froch UD win also.

I.l guess they have to meet in the semi or final?

Kessler fights Ward, Froch and Taylor
Taylor fights Abraham, Kessler and ?
Froch fights Dirrell, Kessler and ?

Any body who knows each fighters first 3 fights ?

I thought they basically split halves in the fight. Had JT stood up, I think it woulda been a draw after the 12th rd KD. Helluva fight.

Kessler fights 1. Ward, 2. Froch, 3. Taylor.
    Froch fights 1. Direll, 2. Kessler, 3. ?
    Taylor fights 1. Abraham, 2. ?, 3. Kessler
    Abraham fights 1. Taylor, 2. ?, 3. ?
    Ward fights 1. Kessler, 2. ?, 3. ?
    Dirrell fights 1. Froch, 2. ?, 3. ?

    Any body ?
