The panel seems split on this one a tad....let me have my ten cents. For starts im not looking forward to hearing Froch's banter in the build up to this one, especially if this is in America, i will be cringing listening to his statements about himself and terms like......''they call this shot The Cobra'', yeh **** right off Carl. Nothing i have saw in him makes me think he is as good as HE thinks he is, he is too far up his own arse to ever let his boxing ability come through, its as if he's a God and he will throw a shot only if he thinks your worthy of taking it..... He smokes 20 tabs a day too, its no friggin wonder he fights in spurts and blows hot and cold ffs..... The step up in class will be a shock to the system no doubt, if he is as good as he thinks he will come through that, i wont be putting money it.
I want Taylor to make a good comeback and I want Froch to get some in-ring rhinoplasty. Seems like both are likely to happen.
I would lean 60-40 in favour of Taylor. Frochy is certainly in with a shout in this one, but he needs to lift the left hand a little more.
to me its a shame this fight has to happen, i am from nottingham and have supported froch for quite a while, but taylor is one of my favourite fighters and i wanted him to get a win after his two losses to pavlik. cant decide who i really want to win....:nut
Controversial views Doyle - Mike would agree with you! I think the problem was his level of competition - was it really that much superior to those that Hatton had with his WBU belt??
Yep that is kind of the point of my first question. Yep Calzaghe had had a few decent fights against the likes of Reid and Eubank but even these hardly shine especially when you consider the fights out there he could have chased for that long period of time. The Kessler and Lacy wins are fine but Kessler was in his first good fight and Lacy is and was never really great, just an American hype job with a good punch. Taylor may have been beaten by Pavlik and apart from the B-Hop wins his record is covered in way too much gloss but I feel that he will become the real force at the weight with Kessler. Taylor got to the title very quick and it can be argued that many of his defences were still learning fights. Froch has really drawn the short straw if this fight does come off.
:rofl Still is.:good As for the fight. I would see Taylor outboxing Froch pretty comfortably. Jermain has the workrate & variety to beat a fairly predictable fighter in Froch.
Dont shoot the messenger, its his words not mine..... i dont see how either but hey i didnt hold his arm behind his back and make him say it atsch
