At this moment, I think it's 50/50 right now.

Don't know about lack-luster. but except for 1 guy ( Pavlik ), he did enough each time, to win...I'd toss a coin vs kessler:hi:

Are you considering 160, or 168?at 168, I'd go Kessler. but not 160:D

Taylor showed dramatic improvements from the first Pavlik fight to the second. I was very impressed by the fact that a 30 year old fighter made those kind of improvements. He kept his hands up, he stayed off the ropes, he refused to go to war, et.

The version of JT that showed up for Pavlik/Taylor II destoys Lacy, knocks Pascal out, beats Froch comfortably, and probably squeaks past Kessler.

I may be the only poster on ESB who feels this way, but I do not want to see a 3rd Pavlik fight. Kelly is to Jermain what Barkley was to Hearns. He has his number, and it will always be a case of the superior athlete losing to the bully.

I think Kessler is just as powerful as Pavlik and that is what gave Taylor problems, Pavliks strength.

Plus i would say Kessler is a better allround boxer than Pavlik and his footwork is waay better.

It would be a good fight but i think Kessler would win, late rounds dstoppage or UD.

The Taylor from the two Pavlik fights gives Kessler a tough fight. I'd still say Kessler wins it but Taylor puts in a very good performance.

    :rofl

He was faster than Pavlik too, did that win him the fight? Taylor does terrible against southpaws. Calzaghe is bigger and faster than any southpaw he has fought, along with the same workrate as Pavlik but a lot faster and more unpredictable. Taylor would be ****ed.

I disagree to some extent. Taylor can punch back you know. He's got exceptional hand speed also. He's got quick twitch muscles and can counter back like a cobra. If Calzaghe is throwing those slaps, he's going to have openings that can be exploited. I would favor Calzaghe UD also but i think it would be competitive and JT getting in some hard, flush shots. And if JT won, i would not be shocked one bit.

I don't want to see it because I just plain ended up liking Taylor after the fight. Plus, I think it ends the same way.

That would be a really close and competitive fight ! I think Jermain has a little more speed with his punches but Kessler has the better jab. It would come down to who can establish himself first in the ring...

Can JT keep Kessler mostly throwing while backing up or can Kessler overpower JT behind a hard and sharp jab...

This is a pretty good match up. It's a pick em if you ask me, but if I had to, I'd lean toward Kessler.
