Would this be to tough a fight for Jermaine to take after two consecutive losses? I think this woul be a good matchup for both guys. A 50-50 fight.

Lacy will never be the boxer he was he had his heart and soul broken in that fight and i do not think he will ever get back as a belt holder or serious contender.

taylor would put him on the floor

If Lacy gets back into any sort of form he causes Taylor a world of trouble as he'll come forward and engage Taylor, which he is susceptible to, and I doubt whether Taylor could hurt him. Taylor also has ordinary footwork, so although you'd think his handspeed would **** Lacy up as Calzaghe did, Lacy has a chance of landing his own work

That shitty version that turned up for Manfredo favours Taylor

If this fight happened, a monstorous ass-whipping would ensue.

    Interesting fight.

If Lacy somehow manages to regain what mentality he had which I doubt he could win this. Although i'm inclined to believe Taylor would win a boring 12 rounder at present.

An eventual meeting between these two was being talked about from way back when they were both undefeated prospects moving up the rankings. Back when Lacy was pre-Calzaghe I would have picked him by late rounds KO in a thrilling fight without a doubt. Now-a-days the guy seems to be past it so I'd switch my prediction around and this time make Taylor victorious by late rounds KO.

I don't expect it to be much of a fight anymore though like I once thought. Taylor has actually improved while Lacy has been going downhill for a couple of years now.

I think no matter what version of Lacy or Taylor turned up, Lacy would be outboxed for a wide UD.

Well said. I remember thinking when Lacy and Taylor were racking up the wins that their eventual meeting might be an epic fight. Obviously much of the luster is off now, but it still would be worth seeing. I'd prefer to see both guys take other fights before meeting up, to see if Lacy can recapture some of his pre-rotator cuff tear form and for Taylor to build back up his confidence and see if he can continue the improvement he showed in the second Pavlik fight.

Whatever state Lacy is in, it still wouldn't be a bad fight for Taylor first up at 168. Lacy, he's a physically strong guy with a good chin and power at the very least. Anything more is a bonus

He's certainly a better opponent than the guy who beat Andy Lee (Brian Vera?). I guess Taylor would win a wide decision (118:110).
