If you were Taylor what fight would you want ?

I would probably want to smash Lopez first at 140 before moving up to Crawford. That's provided Lopez gets past Kambosos. Which is not a guarantee.

Yup, I was thinking that last night - folks are maybe sleeping on this Kambosos kid!

Personally I think Josh should defend against his mandatory Catterall; get his dream fight at Edinburgh Castle if he can, then move up and chase some names at 147. I don't think he wants to go straight up and get Crawford immediately though maybe Danny Garcia or Keith Thurman or something like that first.

Yeah I think he should stay at 140 for as long as possible or at least until the political shitshow at welterweight sorts itself out.lets see who is man enough to come see Taylor in Scotland for all the belts for the time being.

Amen! I'm being a bit selfish too as I'd be at that Castle show with bells on!

Lopez said he is willing to come to UK for a scrap. I think it would be a nice feather in the hat to beat the man who beat the man while he was P4P#1. It would raise Taylor's exposure massively .

One thing I'd say, is Lopez looked like he was getting hurt at times from Loma rounds 7-10. Taylor most definietly is a more spiteful puncher and if he can drop Raimrez twice, he can most definitely drop and stop Lopez.

I think Taylor has seen most of what Lopez offers before, but not sure the reverse is true - Loma is elite but a fair bit smaller than Lopez, Nakatami was gig and tall, but not elite. How will Lopez fare against someone his own size who is eleite like Taylor?

I'd take TTT to stop Lopez, right now

Agreed! Although on the flipside, I think no one would begrudge Taylor a 'soft defence' considering his recent run.

To be honest, I'd hate to see him get his dream fight at the Castle or Easter Road and lose wide to Bud or summat like that. Not that I think Bud would come back across to Scotland at this stage in his career, no danger.

Taylor is clearly struggling to make 140 he looked like a walking cadaver pre-fight. I don't think he has much of a choice other than move up. I don't think he would debut at 147 against Crawford though...

I thought that, but he said after the fight that he can still make 140 'easy'. Maybe that's why there were rumours of Josh actually going DOWN to 135 at one point - but can only imagine how drained he'd be there - even if he could make weight!

Never read him say that - I was just going off how he looked and how angry he was. Exactly how angry I'd be if breakfast was sipping half a glass of water

Really can't see him making 135 and the money fights are at 147. He's 30 and it's time to earn the big purses imho...

If I was Taylor I'd be looking for Lopez and Tank fights at 140lbs then jump up to 147lbs, take on a Thurman or Garcia (Danny or Mikey) then Crawford.

Lopez and Tank would be huge names on his record which would build his profile and I would favour him to beat them.

Well said, and before reading your comment I had not considered that. The man has 18 fights, and a lot of years left on his career. If he can make 140 and be comfortable, while making some good coin and gaining experience.....then why not?

The other side of that argument would be to go fight Crawford, in a big money fight. Even if he took an L to Crawford it would likely be a good learning expirience.

The kid is in an enviable spot.

Josh will probably be at 140 for at least another year imo.. if Lopez moves up there will be calls for it much more so than the Crawford fight.. Crawfords career has stalled somewhat whereas these two are flying high.. & while that goes on Crawford will turn 34.. id favour Crawford at 147 now but as time goes on man who knows ya know.. it's an intriguing matchup

Damn how is Bud already 34. Him and Beterbiev have wasted so many years of greatness between the two. Not to mention many more who have come before them, with wasted careers and potential for greatness.
