The 2nd, 3rd, and 7th rounds made this fight extremely exciting. The 4th, 5th, and 6th rounds were a fast paced jabbing contest, and the KO was just the result of being silly enough to get into a jabbng contest with Pavlik. Great fight, but nowhere near fight of the decade.
You've done a nice job of breaking down the similarities between Taylor and Froch on other threads; the low left, et. Leow told Kelly, "It's a basic ****ing fight with this kid! Jab, right hand, simple!" Froch would get the same treamtent, but he is slow as mud, so the end would come quicker.
Well said. Wouldnt go far as to say Morales-Pac Trilogy, but the fist two fights were up there. Dont forget Vargas-Trinidad, and Corralles-Castillo to name some others. It was an entertaining fight and was great that such a loved underdog won. But I don't really think it is in the top ten fights of the decade.
