I was at the Weigh in too and it was 90% pro Pavlik, it was electric and both guy's looked in great shape, going to be a good fight if Taylor can stay on his feet..
kELLY will feed off the crowd and it will pump him up even more, Dude i honestly will be surprised it JT makes it to round 9:huh I hope not i got $ 280 on Kelly:happy
BJ Flores was just in front of me at the ticketing counter. Figures I didn't have a camera. He has a really pretty wife.
You didn't use my trademarked nickname for him and call him Blow Job Flores? Dammit, Banditos! Anyway, I can't even imagine what Pavlik is experiencing right now. That picture you have of him at the buffet actually speaks more to me than any other one coming from my own background as a boxer, I know the nerves or feelings you'll be having the day you fight; but I can't imagine how Kelly stays so focused and determined under so much pressure, with so many people around.
I'll be honest with you - I definitely thought it! I didn't recognize him at first, but he was talking to someone about Haye and other cruiserweights and it just hit me that he was Flores. If he had any damage from his fight he's totally recovered. I had to run up to the room to verify who he was. I'm not sure why, but he was having trouble getting tickets for the fight. It was the VIP line so he had to have had something already in his name. I assume it worked out for him. I took a quick shitty picture on my phone, but I forgot to hit save. That's why all of my pictures from this trip are going to come from my wife because she has some sense, unlike me. Kelly looked focused. He was cordial to the people that recognized him, but it was easy to tell that he wasn't paying much attention to the world around him. It's hard to see from the picture, but there were probably fifty to a hundred people behind him in line that weren't even aware that it was him. He was wearing Ohio State gear, by the way. It looked like Taylor's people were eating closer to me, but Taylor himself has been totally absent the entire time I've been here with the exception of the weigh-in.
Sounds like you're having a kick ass trip; I've always wanted to go to a big fight in Vegas. I look forward to the pictures when you return; that's what our better halves are for, aren't they? To clean up our messes? I was noticing that in the picture; Kelly looks like he's withdrawn completely into his own world, which is a good thing that he's focusing on the fight. Different guys handle it differently. I try to relax and distract myself up until I arrive at the venue and get my hands wrapped.
