In the amateur's, Kelly was a baby at only 17 yrs old, while Taylor was a 20 yr old man & from what I understand, it was a close fight even then.

Better competition, so what. Look at each fighters KO percentage & see what that tells you.

So Zuniga dropped KP early in their fight. KP got off the canvas to take control & TKO his butt in 9. The KD by McCart was BS. Kelly was off balance & Bronco hit him in the shoulder. Pavlik touched the canvas with his gloves...not his ass. It was nothing.

Zertuche landed some clean shots. Good. Kelly went nowhere from them & Zertuche probably hits harder then Taylor. Why don't you talk about Zertuche's GRANITE CHIN??? Never down or never stopped in his career, until he made the mistake of fighting Pavlik.

I know your just trying to state the facts. But so am I.

    ((((((((((((((((((((((GO GHOST)))))))))))))))))))))))

    Pavlik would destroy Ouma.

Ouma is there to be hit and would come straight foward right into Pavlik.

    This is a terrible matchup.

Taylor should have been able to beat Ouma as well, but he didn't use feints and telegraphed his right hand.

Ouma might have his moments against Pavlik, but in the end he'll be another opponent lieing on the canvas.

Styles make fights and Pavlik is a terrible style for Ouma.

You also have to factor in that the Zertuche fight was the first fight where Pavlik was the featured fighter on HBO.

And after Pavlik loosened up in the midrounds he put a boxing lesson on Zertuche.

Although, it might have just been that Zertuche was TERRIFIED of Pavlik's power and just couldn't find the urge to go inside again.

And may I remind you that Zertuche is a guy that was never down in his career before Pavlik.

Pavlik KOed him while he was standing up.

    1. Amateur's dont mean much at all...look at Cotto in the amateurs and how impressively he avenged those amateur losses as a pro.
    2. Taylor has fought better competition:good
    3. Pavlik has an excellent chin - he took bombs from Miranda and just keep coming.
    4. Taylor has been stunned by Hopkins which isn't a bad thing to say, but Hopkins right hand and Pavlik's right hand are night and day
    5. Zertuche was able to land clean shots and so will Taylor. The question is can he take Taylor's shots? I confidently say yes, but I doubt you can say the reverse.

If this is Taylor's last fight at 160, he will move up to 168 with a record of 27-1-1 (17)

I think Pavlik is going to tear sh*t up in this fight. JT's been too lazy, fought too many cupcakes, is regressing, and is underestimating KP.

Wonderful analyst work? Kelly was 17 & was nowhere near the physical presence he is now! Anybody see anything special in 40+ year old Hopkins? Or 35+ Winky that would keep Pavlik's onslaught from a KO? Competion, I give you belongs to the Middleweight champ, as it should. Pavlik and his agent Cameron Duncan had a hell of a time finding fights for this kid. kassim Ouma, tough as nails, but a small man who can't punch that backed Jermain up all night! Manny Steward is frustrated as hell w/ Taylor because he continues to do enough to win. All the worry will be over Sept. 29 cause the same Taylor will show up and lose Ko round 10! GHOST WATCHER!!!!!

Kronk's fighters have had a hell of a run over the last couple of years...I get the feeling that's going to end come September, though.

I can definately say YES about Taylor because he NEVER been down. I just did more research and Pavlik been down THREE times instead of two and they were to JOURNEYMEN. 17 year old Floyd Mayweather was beating up people older then him in the amateur so stop using Pavlik age as an excuse.

Taylor has been in there with the elite so Pavlik better bring more than power to the dance. Andy Lee is a better middleweight boxer then Pavlik and you know Taylor is getting excellent sparring from Lee as we speak.

Indeed. Pavlik is gonna DESTROY him. There is a REASON that he's been facing light-hitters coming up from lower weights ever since Hopkins put him on ***** street.

This is going to be a BRUTAL KO.....and probably rather early, too. No gift decision THIS time!!:-(
