pavlik is not that good of a boxer. He is very easy to hit but he has a good chin and is an emotionless clear minded fighter. The guy is cool as a fan always. He has confidence but is not arrogant. However, Taylor by far is the better boxer. And Palvike DOES HAVE MORE POWER IN BOTH HANDS. But that only means something when you are fighting bums or other idiot sluggers like miranda who ate his punches clean like a ******. But anyway. Pavlik fought some SUPER TOMATO CANS. and he knocked them out impressively as he should I mean his highlights are against mops.. Joppy is quality and JT whooped his ass. JT is not a smart fighter and is emotional. If Pavlik hits him with a good shot..JT will retaliate like dumb ass miranda rather then keep his composure and time pavlik with a good counter punch that pavlik is open for after the throws every punch. Its any mans fight. Both have the tools to beat each other. If JT sticks the jab and moves pavlik will not look good at all. What size ring? This matters to me too. If it is a 18-20 ft it is ok for taylor but anything less is HUGE for pavlik. I WILL BE THERE, GOT my tickets
will do, I will record with my phone and I know when something BIG is going to happen I will try and catch it. As well as photos with some boxers and HOF guys that are sure to be there. I think its going to be possible fight of the year.
It's an exciting fight but JT has fought quality opponent so I give him a Huge edge. I completely forgot Joppy was on his resume. The amateur sometimes don't mean anything (see Cotto Abvaleav) but sometimes they do (see Forrest Mosely).
I'll see ya ringside- For the NEW MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMP!!!!!!!!!! I will be posting pics throughout Pavlik's training camp for those who are interested!!!
the funny part is that taylor will prolly get knocked out in this one, Pavlik is far better then some give him credit here while taylor is overrated as ****
A knockdown is a knockdown, Pavlik shouldn't have been off-balance against Bronco. Oh and Pavlik has 3 knockdowns in his career against journeymen you ***. I'm not saying Taylor can beat Pavlik based on his competition, I'm just saying that Taylor has fought better comp. Taylor record would look fabulous too if he has fought the competition (journeymen) that Pavlik has been munching on. Oh and I do use boxrec as part of my research but it isn't my only source of research you cocksucker.
You think DiBella selecting small fighters indicates a problem with JT's CHIN??? Are you ****ing DAFT? The reason that cunning, greedy, cocksucker DiBella picked small fighters for JT is b/c they looked ripe for having their heads knocked-off, and KO's increase the value (the money a fighter can generate in his future fights) of your fighter. I thought that was just obvious to everyone and you have an awfully high post count to be missing something as transparent as this. Oh yes, there HAS to be a problem with his chin! And in case you haven't figured out the reasoning for THIS fight, it is as follows: 1)Pavlik was agreeable to DiBella's terms. 2) DiBella figures Taylor's chances of winning are good. 3) Because the past two "ripe" fights back fired on him and Taylor perhaps lost a little value, it's essential he not have a third disappointing fight in a row - and no matter what this fight should not be boring. Even if Taylor loses, if it's a great fight it won't be a disaster for his career. The only disaster would be if he gets slaughtered easily and that's a risk low enough to not enter the equation.
I have not been impressed with Taylor's opposition after Bhop. Wright is a career light middleweight with no power, the fact the fight was close is more a credit to him than to him. This is an excusable fight, but Ouma and Spinks were really disapointing. Ouma was already overrated as 154 pounder, volume puncher with limited size and power. Spinks was a runner with a questionable beard and power at 147, these opponents were tailormade. Also, before Hops how good was his competition. His power is definately not were it should be for a dominant boxer-puncher. He is not a slapper, but he does a lack a concussive punch. Since Hopkins Taylor has been fighting blown up light middles with has last opponent being a blown up welterweight. As Taylor has always been a big middleweight this was an advantage, which he did not take advantage of. The Pavlik fight is therefore a step forward imo. Hopkins unified the division, and Taylor splintered it somewhat, the winner should fight Abraham imo. I think Pavlik will win within the distance between round 7 - 10. If it goes to the cards I expect Taylor to get the nod based on workrate and the early rounds. Imo Taylor is overrated, he is not a bad champion, but he is not as good as some have been making him out. p.s. the winner should get some respect.
