And Taylor will get hit with more punches then in his last 4 fights combined. Think about that.

I like Pavlik but Taylor has the intangibles to win. When you elite fighters, it get harder to win convincingly.

Pavlik would have a hard time with B-Hop, Winky, Ouma and Spinks. Hell I don't think he would beat any of them.

That's your opinion & a valid one. I, personally thinks he KO's them all, except, maybe, B Hop. But a UD there.

Can't you guys see the power he generates? I know he's sloppy, but thats part of his high workrate style, kinda like Calzaghe slaps. He just keep's throwing (with better technique than Joe C.), until he lands that sweet one. And it will happen. Its only a matter of time. His leverage creates so much power & he hits through is target like an assassin. Plus, he showed he can take a whallop. Miranda landed plenty solid & Kelly went nowhere.

The reason I see Taylor winning this fight is that Pavlic's style works well in Taylor's favor. Taylor has been fighting defensive fighters lately, with the exception of Ouma. Pavlic will be available for Taylor to hit and he will hit him often.

Ouma has only been stop once, in his 2nd pro fight. Ouma throws 100 punches around and he pressure. Winky D couldn't be broken by Taylor or B-Hop (he used other "tactic" to "win")....no way Pavlik with his experience is getting through.

Spink ( I loathe him) but he makes you look bad and he's a RUNNER, can pavlik cut the ring off effectively to stop him. No way he beats B-Hop...His chin is proven and he would neutralize everyone of Pavlik strengths.

He might beat Spinks or Ouma but no way he beats Winky or B-Hop...They would put him throught hell...those four are not Edison Miranda, McKart, Zertuche, Pierre, and Zuniga....Those four are ELITES plus Kelly been dropped 3 times already as a pro against journeymen.... Taylor never been down.

I don't think Pavlik can beat Andy Lee.

Taylor's never been down, but none of his past resume of fighters, great as his competition has been, were knockout artists. I'm not going to knock the names on Taylor's resume- anybody will agree he's fought the better comp. They're just different types of fighters.

Thus, that's no guarantee that will make much of a difference when Taylor faces off against a totally different animal; Pavlik's not out to win 115-113- Pavlik's out to destroy him. Neither Hopkins or Winky fought for the KO. That's why it will be a FOTY candidate- either Taylor will have to fight for everything he's worth, or he'll get knocked out. That's the kind of worry he hasn't had, and who knows? Maybe that will bring out the best in Jermain.

I will say this much: it doesn't do Taylor many favors when guys like Ouma and Spinks were defeated much more handily by fighters at lighter weights. That's why people started turning on him- it's not that he couldn't get the knockout, it's that he didn't even bother to try. Hell, it almost cost him against The Roadrunner because alot of people had Taylor losing that "fight".

All in all, I respect both fighters. I am picking Pavlik to knock Taylor out though, if only because I'm not so sure you can just "turn the switch on" to fight against Pavlik if you haven't been in that kind of a war. I think Pavlik's going to take him outside his comfort zone and stop him.

Also, Kelly's chin is solid. I rewatched the fight against Pantera, and he absorbed some solid blows without much reaction. He also showed better defense than I remember when I initially watched it. Taylor's going to have to seriously triple (hell, maybe even quadruple) his recent workrate to get his shots in- can he last at that rate for the entire fight?

Taylor has fought some knockout artist in his career, just not recently and Taylor resume would look spectacular too if he's fought the kind of comp Pavlik has fought.

Taylor can turn it on....watch Buhema and Edourd.

Knockout artists??? Who Marquez, Joppy, Hopkins, Bunema, Brewer, Ouma, Edouard?????? If those are the Ko artists you compare Pavlik to you and Taylor are in for a rude awakening!!! Like opp. Pavlik Ko'd Brewer in 2- Taylor UD8, Beaupierre & Edourd fought twice to a draw-Pavlik Ko2 Beaupierre & Taylor KO3 Edouard. Can't wait till Sept.29 For the new Middleweight Champ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Ouma?

How in the **** would Pavlik not beat Ouma?

Ouma is made for a guy like Pavlik. He comes staright foward, lacks power, and tries to swarm all over his man.

Pavlik would kill him with right hands as he's coming in.

September 29 cannot come quick enough imo. Its going to be a great day when the Pavlik train is derailed. Some of you guys are making him out to be the next SRR. Please stop with all this hype and wait for your boy to prove something.
