If Jermain wins, I'll be the first one on here to congratulate him. A sub-par effort won't get the job done and he'll have to fight a great fight to get the W. And, fair or not, how he responds to the pressure in this fight will go a long way towards how he's viewed as a middleweight legacy wise- even if Pavlik doesn't bring the polish or the resume of Hopkins or Winky.

We've heard and read about Taylor since the 2000 Olympics, but that was O.K.? He had an HBO contract from early on, but that's O.K.??? Well guess what- It's time for the young undefaeted KO artist to get his props!!! War PAVLIK!!!!!

Pavlik has great power, wide range of combos, great chin and can control a fight. He is pretty sloppy though, and his defence needs some work.

Taylor has low workrate, decent power, good handspeed when he choose to(which is rare due to low workrate). He is in trouble everytime he moves backwards - his footwork isn't too great either, nor his precision.

Unless Taylor has an awesome chin, he will go down. He might be able to negate Pavlik in an ugly fight - and sway the judges if it goes close.

Well, Taylor's HBO connections are bound to sway the judges if it's close - just like in the Hopkins and Wright fights!

But, since it is doubtful Taylor has an "awesome chin," it's far more likely that the HBO judges won't get their chance this time. There is a REASON he's been fighting light-hitters from the lower weights ever since Hopkins rocked him! Pavlik's gonna show us exactly what that reason is! :nod

(Pavlik v Miranda landed an average of 29 power punches per round, more than double the middleweight avg. Overall, landed 242 of 539 total punches (45%) to 111 of 504 (22%) for Miranda. That’s an avg. of 81 total punches thrown per round for Pavlik. The middleweight avg. is 57 total punches thrown per round. Landed 193 of 418 power shots (46%) to 90 of 345 (26%) for Miranda.)

(Taylor avg’d just 27 total punches thrown per round, landing 8 per round. Overall, landed 101 of 319 (32%) total punches to 85 of 542 (16%) for Spinks. How bad was it?- they combined to land 93 power punches all night!!! Pavlik landed 89 power shots vs. Miranda in rounds four thru six. Taylor & Spinks combined to land double digits in power shots in just four rounds.

Taylor has no work rate. Doesn't avg 40 punches per round. Mostly fought jMW's. Rogelio Martinez, Alex Bunema, Raul Marquez, Kassim Ouma, Cory Spinks.

True MW's- William Joppy, B-Hop, Winky

I don't know how JT will react to the constant pressure and KP's strength.

Pavlik is a solid fighter, hard straight puncher but he is easy to hit and his hand speed is not stellar. Taylor will beat Pavlik to the punch and KO him
