I would say he's exceptional in most of those things you have listed. His stamina and work rate is as good as I have seen in a fighter.
I'd tend to agree, but didn't want to go too overboard - he's not quite at Cazlaghe workrate / stamina, but then not many are.
Definitely or as our Scottish cousins from the other side of the border, particularly from Edinburgh way, would say: Deaf-In-Ate-Lee
Andre Ward pretty accurate in his assessment of Taylor tending to get pulled into dog-fights. Don't get me wrong, Taylor has a lot of dog in him, but he can make it harder on himself at times. I wonder whether Davidson has actually been brought in to try and make him more disciplined and stick to a gameplan. I know a few folks commented that they were worried Davidson might make him a bit too cautious, but if he can reign in a little bit of Taylor's tendencies to scrap when he could box cleaner and more effectively, then it might not actually be that bad a thing. I think the issue Josh has there is both a curse and a blessing - he actually really likes to fight, scrapping seems 2nd nature, so when he get's tagged, his instinct is to fire back.
Well one of them is going to be A grade in the division, owning all the belts does that for a fighter.
Well done to these guys for getting this fight on with little fuss. Puts the HW and WW divas to shame.
I have to admit I was more excited for Canelo BJS, especially as I could get it for £1.99 with no worries or issues
Lol Taylor B level? This is his 5th undefeated fighter in a row whilst now holding 2 titles and the Ring belt and going for undisputed inside 18 fights
assuming Pac, Floyd, RJJ, SRL, heck Canelo are A level, does Taylor really belong there? Taylor is B level and that’s being generous. I don’t even know if he could beat Garcia at 140 or Broner ffs. His best win was a past it Postol and Prograis, hardly A level stuff.
Not sure it does when the division is shallow as hell. He’s a big guy, he can go up to 147 and fight clear B level guys like Porter and Thurman, if he beats them handily then he’s A level. He could also beat other A level guys like Crawford or Spence, that would solidify his A level status. It’s all just levels. Not his fault but he’s never fought at A level so how can he be at that level?
Looks like it on paper. Simply because one of these men (providing there isn't a draw) will join a very exclusive club in the "4 belt era".
I stated A level in the division. Why should a boxer have to go up or indeed down to be classed as A level, if a boxer holds all the belts in a division that in my opinion makes him the best, A level and has solidified that status. Hagler never had any inclination to fight outside his natural weight division, he was the king, he was the A level in the division, any boxer who wished to overthrow the Marvellous one had opportunity at the 160 pound limit, the same goes for the winner of the Taylor vs Ramirez bout, If guys you identify and feel are A level want to prove that these two are not A level, then they can fight the winner at 140 pounds.
