Taylor fights as if he was a speedy slick counter puncher... but he's not...Taylors best punch is the jab and when another fighter outjabs the jabber, he's doomed...Taylor will not be able to move quicker at a heavyer weight and he will NOT take pavliks full power at his full weight...everyone thinks a bigger taylor will do it but you dont even mention a bigger pavlik...a bigger pav is much more deadlyer than a bigger tay....MARK MY WORDS.. taylor will tire around round 4 or 5 and k.o around those two rounds....If trinidad couldnt take his pop up to a heavyer weight, imagine taylor who isnt even a banger...but pavlik is...and he will be stronger and quicker and will k.o taylor much more easier and the key to this fight is taylor's extra weight working against him....especially against the ghost....:bbb
It's not that big of a deal. He's still going to be about the same weight as he was at MW come fight time. He's just a big MW who had trouble making weight. You're making it seem like this is Winky moving up to 170. It's not. It's really no big deal.
Both these guys are huge middleweights, but neither have ever had trouble making 160, entering the ring just a couple of pounds over, wonder why its at this weight?
i have said this before i will say it again. pavlik v taylor fighting a non title fight at supermiddle is devaluing the history and legacy of the blue ribbon event of boxing . namely the middleweight title. if jermain cannot make 160 anymore then **** him and tear up the rematch clause.
Agreed..It's another trip to the woodshed for a beatdown with a side of whiplash handed out by a more powerful Kelly Pavlik..
I don't think the extra weight will make a huge difference to Taylor's speed. Maybe I'm wrong though.
