I can't see Taylor knocking Abraham out, his defence is pretty tight, he covers up very well just waiting to explode. Taylor has to be prepared for a points victory, which is easier said than done in Germany. This is a hard fight to predict, so I aint gonna bother!
Actually I think he'll break Abraham's jaw, just like Miranda did, but he'll knock "King" Arthur out. :rasta
I'm not hating on Taylor but it doesn't seem so . . . not unless Taylor can change his fighting style in a very short period.
I think Taylor has a good chance of outboxing Abraham to a decision, but Abraham definitely has a big chance at getting the K.O, we'll see.
And who the hell has Taylor beaten? The best name on his record is Bernard Hopkins, against whom he squeaked two questionable decisions, and who else? Yes he fought better opposition in Pavlik and Froch for sure, but then he got sparked 2x and lost a decision 1x... The overall quality of Taylor's opposition doesn't really seem that stellar to me... At least not significantly better then Abraham's :think Abraham has scored 24 stoppages (10 KOs and 14 TKOs, hereby counting Marquez' giving up after 6th as TKO too) out of 30 fights and was never ever down (not that I remember of...) or even rocked... Whilst Taylor has 17 stoppages (0 (zero) KOs and 17 TKOs) out of 28 fights, and when he met a strong puncher (aside of the late Lacy who wouldn't be able to hit a barn wall if it could move a bit...) he got sparked:bbb I bet on October 18th there will be a bunch of threads telling how shot Taylor has been, only damaged goods after Pavlik and Froch, and he's been a bum from the beginning anyway, and therefore it means nothing that Abraham KOd him with ease... :rofl It's always the same - if you don't want to give a fighter any respect, then you call every opponent he wins against bum, shot, old, etc... We have seen it over and over again in the past, and we will see it over and over again in the future...
I don't mean to disrespect Abraham and/or hype Taylor. I'm well award of Taylor's limitations and record in recent years. That's why I said that fight is a big mystery to me.
Yea, I'll put a 100 on it. A 1000 is too big for me. Going by that logic, Kelly Pavlik didn't knock out Jermain Taylor even though there was no way in hell Taylor would have beat the count. Hell, by my count, Vitali Klitschko only has 14 knockouts and hasn't knocked out anyone since 2001. Hardly the knockout king his fans would like you to believe. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ATwzOcK5Js[/ame] ^The ref stopped the fight before Taylor could actually finish Edouard off. You think Edouard would have survived that?
I dont mean to hate on Taylor but he gasses in the last half of every fight pressured or not look at the first Hopkins fight, also every guy that could punch he's faced has knocked him out I dont exspect much different happening in this one. Here's how I see it playing out Taylor dominates the first 5 rounds, the 6th is closer but still Taylor, Taylor visibly tiring quick but still wins 7-8 ....gets stopped in the last 4 rounds thats what I exspect. The question is if AA will still have power at 168 if he doesn't Taylor will ....win truthfully but lose because he's in Germany and he's not going to knock out Abraham. There's really no way Taylor can win this(In Germany) unless for the first time he doesn't fade later on even then he needs to pitch a shut out to win a SD that would only have him winning by 2 to 3 rounds as opposed to all 12 anyhow im sticking with AA to win late ko.
Chambers W12 Dimitrenko Gonzales W12 Michalczewski Eubank W12 Rocchigiani Hill W12 Maske Sanavia W12 Beyer Botha W12 Schulz Moorer W12 Schulz Rivera W12 Trabant Klose W12 Trabant Many of which were questionable. So don't act as if Taylor can impossibly "win in Germany even when boxing Abrahams ears off". Foreman vs. Schulz anyone ? Foreman easily lost every round in that fight, but hey, he was ze american, so it was all good. That basically ruined Schulz for life.
I hope so. I can't see AA doing anything in this tournament. Taylor has all the tools to beat anyone but everytime halfway through he just starts breaking down. So we'll see. Every Taylor fight should now be looked at as a question? Can Jermain fight for a full twelve. I hope we don't have the new Zab.
Taylor wins rounds easy, but he gets hit by guys like Pavlik and Froch, his defense is just that bad and if Abraham lands right, its over.
