I was thinking the same exact thing but of course that would be wrong to do because Pavlik had "elbow injury", "brochitis" and even caught the HIV virus in the process.:|

bumping this thread proves a point, why get mad? the point is Taylor was pretty fast too and bigger and stronger than Martinez. I give Martinez a lot of credit but I don't think he can deal with Pavlik....at all.

    You will see.

I don't expect a close fight. Wide UD for Pavlik or late round KO.

Official prediction: Pavlik KO 9...that would be KO not TKO (unless its a KO so bad the ref doesn't bother to count making it a TKO possibly)

Exactly! I went back through a ton of old threads, and just happened to pick this one to bump. Nearlly all the ESB old timers who picked Taylor are picking Martinez for the exact same reasons they picked Taylor! And trust me, Sergio Martinez is no Jermain Taylor!

Vernon Forrest said it best when he beat Sugar Shane... "you beat speed with the jab!"
    End of discussion.
Further proof... De La Hoya in the first half of his fight with Mayweather.
