IMO andrade is the wrong type of fighter for taylor. taylor likes to fight at his own pace and in his own comfort zone . he is not a fighter willing to dig deep and put it all on the line to win. say andrade who is tough as nails /big/strong/high workrate knowing he cannot outbox taylor and match him for skill ,, grits his teeth and is perpared to let his hands go and try to walk through taylor. how would taylor react? i would not give taylor a free pass with this fight. if taylor was to win, he would have a much tougher/harder/more brutal fight than kessler .
Taylor's lack of power and poise would be his undoing against a guy who won't stop coming forward and Taylor's lack of stamina will see him on the ropes and getting drilled by a guy with a high workrate(remember the Ouma fight, ridiculous) . If Ouma, a guy with no defence, no power, little skill and of small size compared to Taylor can drive Taylor to the ropes, you guys don't think a BIGGER guy of the same exact cut of fighter with KO power and a cast iron chin that Taylor will have NO effect on can't grind Taylor down and take him out? Andrade is still throwing like the 1st in the 10th. We're sitting here picking Andrade over better guys than Taylor like Bute, but because Taylor fought fabricated P4P'er's and was competitive, he gets a free pass from a real down home analysis that smacks idiot fans in the face. Even though he lost to a sloppy operator like Pavlik twice.:yep
Andrade would likely give him a few rough moments, but Taylor is on a different level, and wouldn't lose anymore than 3 rounds.
Exactly, just look at the Ouma fight. Kessler won every round, I don't doubt Taylor leads until his stamina sapps, but after that, he's going to get mauled and taken out, especially since Andrade will be landing on him up until that point as well, since Taylor has no defence.
If Taylor could get frustrated by a clean but awkward Cory Spinks, how would he respond to an awkward slugger like Andrade who walks through hellfire to get his man and has significant enough pop to earn some sort of respect?
:rofl you calling pavlik sloppy while booting a bum like andrade, that's like a judah fan talking **** about herbie hide's glass chin. andrade is slower than pavlik and less skilled and doesn't have the jab that pavlik did to outjab taylor. he's even slower and less defensively. with the way taylor fought the rematch by improving, he'd kick the **** out of that fool.
Easy by popping him in the face with that jab and setting up his more powerful shots. It's not like Taylor has zero power and he will hit the no defense Andrade flush enough and often enough enough to earn his respect. Not to mention Andrade is crude, slow and wide Taylor has problems with the straight right he wouldn't be troubled by a wide plodder like Andrade.:deal
I've never claimed that Andrade was precise. He's awkward and extremely sloppy, but he's also effective with it due to his intangibles. Andrade actually has pretty decent timing and a hard jab that he can throw from odd angles, you'd be surprised. He's slower and less skilled defensively, but he also will walk through anything Taylor throws, where as Pavlik's shaky ass chin requires him to be more cautioned in fighting Taylor. Andrade will just keep coming. If you say so.
Buddy, the extremely accurate Kessler nailed Andrade with every combination in the book and didn't get his respect. Taylor's defence and movement is terrible and he folds to pressure, he won't be jabbing and throwing beautiful shots like Kessler was for 12 rounds with his suspect stamina. On top of that, Kessler hits a lot harder, as does Mack, neither of whom gained his respect. Mack knocked him down and Andrade still just kept coming and ate every other shot Mack threw. Let's get real, Taylor barely got little Ouma's respect.
