    in boxing...

and now in hindsight people are twisting this decision as good because Taylor was swallowing blood, was dying in that ring, damaged etc etc...what people forget is that letting the fight go on 1 second more will not improve Taylors condition now.!!

Let the man go out as a champ for Gods sake..its not like it wasnt obvious that Meldrick was winning by a mile

I dont know how Steele sleeps at night knowing that he fixed this fight with King...clearly not only the greatest robbery but injustice in the boxing ring..

I think what people also forget is that it was many fights, probably in the gym as well as in prize fights, that led to Taylor's condition.

And that Taylor was still a good prizefighter for a little while after the loss to Chavez. He just wasn't the same as he was before that, but he was still a good fighter.

Oh, and the biggest/most corrupt/disgusting injustice/robbery in boxing was the first fight between Juan Coggi and Eder Gonzalez.

I heard and read about this fight where Steele stopped the fight just before the 12th and final bell. His explanation was that he did not keep track of how much time was left and he just reacted on instinct. That's understandable. But man, a few seconds left before winning the fight and it gets stopped?

Wonder if any payouts had anything to do with it in terms of Steele being involved.

I used to like HBO Legendary Nights, but reading how people here misinterpret or oversimplify things based on that series, or believe a bunch of lies, I'm starting to not like that show.

Chavez was awesome! Chavez was also awesome when he stopped Roger Mayweather two times!

He didn't verbally respond but gave a slight nod.

I put a lot of blame on Duva. If Duva didn't get up on the ring apron and distract Taylor, when Steele was asking him questions, then Taylor could've been able to look at Steele and verbally respond.

The point that I hated the most was when they portrayed that it may have been the right decision in hindsight because look at what happened to taylor..he was clearly damaged lol...

Basically if they had let it go a second more taylor would have died.LOL

Yeah he gave Roger a long methodical beating in the rematch, just like he later did to Fuentes.

But the best Chavez was the one who destroyed Rosario.

Both he and Benton told him that the fight was hanging in the balance in round 12.
