I am a fan of his myself however I would like to see him step up a bit next year even if it is to Euro level. I agree with the go slow approach with him but just feel he's getting moved a bit too slowly.

 

Not a single one of his opponents has been announced 3 weeks before the fights due. He’s fought one top 40 fighter in his career. There’s not much to like.

 

Exactly. He isn't a 10 or so fight novice. Seems destined and set on taking the keep an unbeaten record and then fight a world title fight and lose and retire route.
That isn't hating, but being realistic

 

100% this. We’re not talking about a young fighter in his early 20s either, he’s 27. Before you know it he’ll have passed his physical prime and still won’t have fought anyone.

 

It’s valid criticism. Perhaps somewhat snarky, but that’s the nature of boxing forums and the internet in general.

Yarde’s competition has been **** poor for a fighter of his hype. There’s no getting around that.

If he’s a world beater he should be fighting better opponents. If he isn’t, it’s counter-productive to shove him down everyone’s throats as the next big thing.

 

I thought Frank would go with Lionell Thomson or Thomas Williams jr

Both ranked well on boxrec inside the top 50, both seem fairly durable but have been stopped by present champions
