TBA has 1 week to prepare for Yarde...edit: TBA is a real Duffus

Hahaha. They will find some baked bean can somewhere for him. Believe me, this kid will not fight anybody meaningful for another 2 years, if he ever does. He is a fraud, they will continue to feed him road kill for a long time, they will pick up a vacant WBO strap along the way somewhere and find some fake mandatory who just suddenly appears in the rankings.

 

Just watched Yarde's new interview with IFL and couldn't believe the things I was hearing.

He is the biggest coward that has EVER laced up gloves.

 

Can’t believe what I’ve just heard. Basically says he doesn’t want to win a world title yet because when he wins a world title he will be at world level and he can’t get easy fights then and he doesn’t want to have 7 years of hard fights.

He says those who criticise him have no knowledge of boxing.

He’s says ducking a fight is only refusing a fight from someone in same position than him. Turning down fights from people ranked lower than him is not a duck apparently.

 

Asked if he would fight Burton he asks what title has he got to offer?

Am I missing something? Is he getting titles for beating all these bums? What do they have to offer??

 

The Burton part was nauseating. Especially when Kugan correctly said its a good fight that British fans would love to see, and Yarde started rambling on about no one caring about that fight outside of Britain.

Kugan done as well as you can expect from IFL but still no one will ask him what TBA are bringing to the table that the others aren't & how that is hypocritical. But he prob knows Frank won't be happen if the matchmaking is harshly criticised.

 

When he says that he can't get easy fights at world level surely he knows this is (objectively) nonsense?

And are we really expecting a guy with opposition as poor as Yarde's to suddenly turn into a guy taking on Murderer's Row when (if?) he wins a world title? The way his career has gone you'd assume he'd be the first one to start taking horrendous WBO nobodies.

In an era when big names are typically marketing themselves as willing and able to take on the best he stands out as a particularly odd character.

 

The comment section is illuminating on his IFL video, his career is becoming an internet joke.

Although I don't suspect he owns the BS flowing from his mouth , that's more than likely regurgitated Tunde talk. Just read an article from him in boxing monthly- an odd character.

It has 112 likes 219 dislikes, and around 90% of the comments are negative mainly focusing on the pathetic level of his opposition to date. This isnt going well for him.

 

I think a lot of it is actually Yarde.

He is mentally very weak. To me it's clear that he also doesn't want these fights. When he does say that he will fight X, Y & Z tomorrow, he doesn't sound very assure of himself. You can tell that by his tone and word choices.

 

I think Frank Warren piled all this pressure on Anthony Yarde by trying to capitalize on his marketing hype too quickly e.g headlining him at the brentwood event. They are trying to avoid the British scene by hiding in the world rankings and fighting unknown guys with no intention of fighting for the world title. Frank needs to decide whether Yarde is going for British or world title quickly before people start losing interest.

 

TBA is still TBA by the way...

 

From the sounds of this interview his 2019 will be identical to his 2018

Think we should probably stop comparing him to Burton/Johnson etc...the guy doesn't even see himself at that level yet. He's clearly not confident in himself and it's also clear that his team are not either.

Just a straight up duck, ok mate you don’t want to fight for world titles even though him and his team believe he would win one I don’t agree but fair anuff you feel like it’s a long career.

but don’t then say well what does a burton offer because you turned down a world title fight that offers a ****ing world title!! these bin men offer nothing and he’s got no problem fighting them give us meaningful fights or keep getting ridiculed simple as that Anthony peanut head

 

Just seen the interview and the bit about Burton was absolutely excruciating. Really strange stuff to come out with.

I’ve always agreed that the fight didn’t make sense previously as he rightly wanted Buglioni, but unless he has a bigger fight lined up for early 2019 then it’s nonsensical for it not to be a viable option for him now.

A fight which he would quite easily win in my opinion and would improve his PR.

He did speak fairly positively about a potential Johnson fight as he has he belt which was good to hear.
