It all depends on the value of the opponents but very good for him!

Also, does anybody even think Floyd is TBE for being undefeated anymore? I think he’s great and all but not for his 0...

Makes no difference, boxers have gone more than 50 fights without defeat before.

It's about the minor unbeaten retirement record, which was in Finito Lopez' hands with 52 (51-0-1), and secondary in Floyd's hands with 50 with the without a draw stipulation.
The unbeaten and wins in a row records (major ones) are completely out of reach nowadays. 87-0 from career start (JCC), 94-0-1 from the legendary Jimmy Wilde with a draw. And I believe there was a guy that won 103 in a row (or something simularly crazy like that) after losing before.

Still, they made too much fuzz about it, because it was supposed to be Marciano's record (49-0) before Floyd's 50-0. But Marciano's record is highly regarded because it's the HW record, which is much harder to achieve of course.

Floyd will probably come back anyways.

In a perfect world where champions fought only worthy contenders, this would be a big deal. But in the real and sometimes-corrupt boxing world, the numbers don't always tell the full story. Fighting bums for easy paydays and more W's, or even winning controversial decisions is par for the course for the biggest money earners. Ultimately, you've got to look at the quality of competition each of these boxers have faced, and how many of those fights that go the distance were deserved wins. Personally, I know nothing about the minimumweight division so I cannot offer any input on whether this guy's résumé is better than Mayweather's.

Why would it be harder to achieve at heavyweight?

At HW almost everyone can land a punch that ends it. Doesn't matter how good you are, if you're Joe Louis, Larry Holmes, Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, Vitali Klitschko or Joe Frazier, when someone lands, you're gone. And the no weight limit thing increases that issue more. One fight you might have to fight a 220lbs 6' 1" wirlwind, and the next one you might deal with a 300lbs 7 feet behemoth with 85" reach. You have to deal with much more power and veriaty as any other weightclass. There's a reason nobody has ever passed the 49-0 mark at HW, while in other weightclasses that mark has been beaten many times.

Retiring unbeaten is only valid until retirement is ended.

I think the majority of boxing fans regard Floyd's 0 as BOGUS!!!!!!!!!!! He's had losses but the Vegas judges covered his back. For me Floyd's whole career is suspect to say the least. Too many shifty manouvres
