    So, I'll ask again...why is Larry Merchant labeled "racist" by some people? Is this just something Mayweather fans say or what?

    yes. anytime someone criticizes floyd, his fans starting throwing all kinds of things at the wall to see what sticks, then they all get behind whatever seems to stick the longest. in the case of larry, when nothing would stick, the "i dont have anything else" card was played.
