You keep trying to say that I am saying that Floyd is solely responsible.. when I clearly said that it doesnt matter who is and Floyd is only a part. I mean really. I also hold Manny responsible. The bottom line is the whole Floyd/Manny thing resembles two generals with armies of fanbois fighting on their behalf not two professional pugilists who fight one on one with each other.

The TBE stuff come across as WWE. You seem awful focused on what you want to paint me as thinking or "hating" when you should be listening. Put yourself in the shoes of a casual fan where the two things they read about boxing in the mainstream sports section is that Floyd calls himself the best ever, and Floyd still hasnt fought his archrival.

What you said regarding Haymon in no way addresses or rebuts my point that Haymon got a lot of "ins" and leverage via Floyd and put on crap for years.

Bottom line is boxing has an image problem, and the Floyd/Manny clusterfck is symbolic of the era. The sooner they retire and the boxing world can move on, the better it will be.

 

I think if Pacquiao was undefeated and paid a lot, his fans would be saying the same things Floyd's fans do. If the roles were reversed, I'm betting 90% of the fans would be too.

Like when *******s say "being undefeated doesn't mean anything", but if it was Pacquiao who was undefeated...

 

even though pac isnt undefeated...if he were the top earner and the sport and part of 2 record breaking ppvs(yes i know oscar was for the most part responsible....but lets not act as if floyd had nothing to do with it).....theyd be saying things like "floyd is undefeated and manny isnt even! and hes still the top star in the sport....the numbers dont lie"!!!!

Back in 2009-2011, everyone kept praising threads like this for saying that the more successful any and every boxer is, from purse earning to PPV sales, the better it is for the sport...

It's like a cult. They all repeat all of the catch phrases and slogans of their leader: "young lion", "TBE", etc. They all dislike who he tells them to dislike. It's a strange phenomenon. I'm sure they wear all the merchandise, too. Probably have posters of him in their rooms, as well.

I think Floyd is the best of his generation, but not TBE.
