too bad the people who are supposed to have his best interests in mind and be lookin out for him dont really care....and the guys that had been with him for a long time have taken a back seat for the most part.....manny started seein 7 and 8 figure checks and that **** was like hypnosis.....i hope things work out for him....would be a shame to see him getting his head beat in years from now for 3-5 million bucks

 

How can u say Floyd is bad for the sport?? he unifiys titles (we have to many damn belts) he fights the mega fight everybody wanted (Canelo) he switched networks and now i have both instead of just having HBO, that helps boxing too. puts our sport main stream, i mean come on dude!!

and nobody sayd anything bad about 80k peole at Wembley, thats great for the sport too dude!!

FACT...he is regarded as P4P#1 by anyone who has credibility in the game and has been for close to a decade now

You dont achieve this by being bad for the damn sport...

 

Actually achieving that is what puts someone in the position of being good or bad for the sport as a whole in the first place. Dont confuse being good AT the sport with being good FOR the sport.

Buckdacious did make a valid point though regarding putting SHO on the map. Thus far at least, that has probably been more positive than negative.

 

Floyd brings alot of attention(good and bad) for the boxing and that is extremely good for the sport even it is negative. It keeps the sport on the headlines.

If we look as sporty aspects Floyd for this sport he sometimes is bad for it... Some of those fights.:-(

 

but didn't fight the one man who genuinely challenged that mantle
out of all fights he didn't make, the one that mattered most was the one that didn't take place

no amount of $$$ or P4P rankings will ever change that

 

that's like blaming the master because the apprentices can't come to the party

 

a great paycheck for an under-appreciated fighter. besides the point though, who else is scared for him against the almighty GGG?
